I figured I’d talk about this as some people still don’t fully know what to fully expect. It may not be the most helpful information but it is clearly needed.

1. Come in exhausted - like if you have run to the shop because you are late, just don’t do it. Let the shop know and see if your lateness can be accommodated. But this goes for anything that can make you tired. (Staying out late, drinking, etc)

2. Get a cut or a burn etc the area you want the tattoo - this speaks for itself really, you need to have clear healed skin for the tattoo to be done properly and heal properly. You can be tattooed over these but it’s not advisable.

3. Wear white or anything you will be worried about getting ink on - it’s not guaranteed but there is a chance to get stencil or ink on your clothes, if you don’t want that wear something you don’t care about.

4. Forget to eat or drink - you might get away with not eating for a small tattoo but for bigger pieces you need to eat and drink properly about 30 mins to an hour before hand, if you don’t you can feel rough.

5. Worry about shaving - I have razors it’s easier for me to do it for you. No one cares if you haven’t shaved.

6. Ask other people about your design - it is your design don’t let anyone else influence what you have on your body.

7. Worry about the tattoo - I’m sure we can work out a way to do it so that you are comfortable, if it’s your first one we can start with an easier placement etc.

8. Be scared to change the design - it will mean you will have to wait for something to be redrawn but it’s totally acceptable to change your mind.

9. Worry about cancelling - you are fully able to cancel you will lose your deposit if it is less than 48 hours but if it is within enough time we can reschedule no problem.

10. Decide to no show - this is awful for your artist and then probably results in you losing your deposit and the trust for another tattoo at the shop without having to pay for the whole tattoo upfront. Please don’t do this.

I might continue these with more and more mad reasons 😂
