Folkestone Hypnotherapy

Folkestone Hypnotherapy Free yourself from anxiety, stress and bad habits. Sessions face-to-face or online. Get better fast.

My name is Christophe Courtin and I am a certified hypnotherapist with a focus on helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, and depression. I know from personal experience how debilitating these conditions can be, having struggled with anxiety disorders myself.

My goal is to assist as many people as possible in overcoming their struggles, whether it’s anxiety, phobias, or depression.

I believe that change can happen rapidly, so you don’t have to spend months in weekly therapy. I work with clients to develop personalized solutions that are appropriate for them.

I also have experience helping people quit smoking and regain their health, life, and money. As an ex-smoker myself, I understand the challenges and excuses people use to justify their habit. I know that quitting smoking can be difficult, but with the right tools, it can be easy.

In addition to working with clients, I am also an acknowledged supervisor, supporting other hypnotherapists in their work and professional development. As a second-dan black belt and instructor in Aikido, I also use hypnosis and visualization to improve focus and performance in sports and martial arts.

Try this right now: think about something stressing you out, slump your shoulders, and look at the floor. Feel that heaviness?

Now, flip it. Drop your shoulders back, lift your chin, and look well above eye level.

Notice how much harder it is for your brain to spiral when your posture refuses to collapse? Your body signals your nervous system before your thoughts catch up. It doesn’t erase the problem, but it shifts you from "shut down" mode into solution mode.

Give it a shot and tell me in the comments, did you feel the difference? 👇

How many times a day do you answer “I’m fine,” when underneath, you’re feeling completely overwhelmed?

Most of what we carry stays hidden below the surface: chronic stress, racing thoughts, habits we want to break, or anxieties that make everyday life exhausting. You don't have to navigate it all on your own, and you certainly don't have to just "put up with it."

Hypnotherapy works directly with what’s beneath the surface, helping you clear the negative emotional clutter, reset automatic habits, calm your nervous system, and regain control.

Can hypnotherapy really help with anxiety?

Yes. :)

If you are dealing with constant worry, racing thoughts, or sudden spikes of panic, you know how exhausting it is when your mind simply refuses to switch off.

First of all: you are not broken. Your brain has just been relying on old survival loops and danger alerts that are no longer helping you.

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, practical, and fast way to calm the nervous system and update those subconscious patterns. Best of all, it is backed by solid clinical neuroscience (with studies showing it outperforms standard controls for over 79% of participants).

No swinging watches (unless explicitly requested), and no pressure to "just relax." Just real, practical relief.

Can you "cure" ADHD with hypnosis? The short answer: No.

ADHD is a different neurotype, not a disease that needs fixing. Anyone claiming they can "cure" your wiring with hypnotherapy is selling false promises.

However, hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool for managing the secondary challenges that often come with an ADHD brain:

Chronic anxiety and racing thoughts

Insomnia and struggling to wind down at night

ADHD burnout and emotional exhaustion

Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD)

Hypnosis works directly with your subconscious to bring your nervous system out of chronic fight-or-flight. When your system is off red alert, managing day-to-day life with ADHD becomes significantly easier.

Despite recent media noise, ADHD is real, and the strain it puts on the nervous system can be exhausting. When your "stress bucket" overflows, self-regulation breaks down, trapping you in a cycle of anxiety and fight-or-flight.
(Though you don't need ADHD to reach that breaking point; anyone can burn out.)

The solution isn't to "just try harder", it's clearing out the backlog of accumulated stress so your mind and body can reset. As this client experienced, regulating the nervous system creates lasting calm, focus, and resilience.

Ready to empty your stress bucket and find stillness in the storm? Send me a DM or visit: https://folkestone-hypnotherapy.co.uk/

Is va**ng safer than ci******es? Yes.
Is it completely harmless? No.

Switching from smoking to va**ng is a solid first step away from toxic chemicals, but recent NHS data reminds us that va**ng still comes with real health risks:

● Heart Stress: Ni****ne raises your blood pressure and forces your heart to work overtime.

● Teeth & Gums: The vapour causes severe dry mouth, paving the way for gum issues and bad breath.

● Irritated Lungs: Inhaling heated aerosols often leads to that stubborn, lingering cough.

● The Anxiety Spike: The constant cycle of ni****ne highs and mini-withdrawals actually increases baseline stress.

● The Unknowns: We still don't know the full story on long-term lung damage.

If you used va**ng to get off ci******es, give yourself credit for taking that step! But the real finish line, for both your health and your wallet, is ditching the habit completely.

Ready to break free for good?

You don’t have to white-knuckle it through willpower alone. My stop smoking and va**ng program gives you the tools and support you need to leave the habit behind for good.

📩 Drop me a DM or leave a comment below, and let’s talk about how you can take back control today!

A Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has published a report with concerns va**ng is a gateway to smoking

Did you know that Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) affects a majority of people with ADHD?

While it’s incredibly common within the ADHD community, it isn't exclusive to it. Factors like childhood trauma can also play a major role. If you struggle with RSD, you already know how deeply it impacts everyday life.

To avoid the intense pain of perceived rejection, it's common to develop exhausting coping mechanisms, such as:
* Constant people-pleasing
* Heavy masking
* Unrelenting perfectionism

Over time, carrying this weight almost always leads to burnout.
But here is the good news: RSD can be managed. You don't have to navigate it alone.

If you're ready to break the cycle and find healthier ways to cope, I’m here to help. Reach out today:

No one likes being rejected, but if you often have an extreme reaction to being turned down, you might have Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria
