Anderida was inspired by the Anderida Forest, which is the name given to the woodland that separated the south of England from the City of London during the Roman Conquest, now known as the Ashdown Forest. It is also thought that the word Anderida is a derivative of Andred, which in English means ‘best’ or ‘wonderful’. Our dedicated team offers the best quality of care, ensuring optimum health and wellbeing tailored to the needs of each individual. All of our practitioners are highly qualified and experienced in their field and are registered and insured by their relative governing bodies. Exam season isn’t just mentally demanding — it can have a real impact on the body too.

We’re seeing many students struggling with headaches, poor sleep, fatigue and difficulty concentrating at this time of year.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, these symptoms are often linked to stress, overwork and lack of rest — all of which can disrupt the body’s natural balance.

Supporting the body alongside revision can make a meaningful difference.

We’ve shared a short article with gentle, practical ways to help support young people through exam season.

💚 Help us keep our community clinics open

Each week, we see people in our Pain Relief Clinic and Acorn Clinic who might otherwise go without care.

Living with chronic pain, stress, or long-term health challenges can be incredibly isolating — and for many, these sessions offer real relief.

For some, it’s the first time in months they’ve slept through the night or moved without pain.

To keep both clinics running year-round, we need £2,000 per month.

That’s just:
• 40 people giving £50 each

We are looking for a small number of individuals or local businesses who may wish to join us as founding supporters.

We’re often asked what children’s acupuncture involves — and it’s usually much gentler than people expect 🌿

At the Acorn Children’s Clinic, sessions are adapted to each child, with non-needle techniques often used and care always taken to go at their pace.

For many families, simply having a calm, supportive space where children feel comfortable and heard can be an important part of the experience.

There are currently some spaces available for acupuncture appointments within the clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You’re very welcome to get in touch if you’d like to learn more.

Some experiences can feel difficult to talk about — even with those closest to us.

Creating space to be heard, without judgement, can be an important first step.

“Joy is much bigger than happiness. While happiness is often seen as being dependent on external circumstances, joy is not.”
Desmond Tutu

A gentle reminder that wellbeing isn’t always about chasing fleeting moments, but about cultivating something steadier underneath.

In the midst of everyday life, there can be small ways to reconnect — with your body, your breath, and a quieter sense of ease.

Trichology is a specialist field focused on hair and scalp in health and disease.

Many people seek support when experiencing changes that feel unexpected or concerning — something that can often have both physical and emotional impact.

At Anderida Practice, trichology consultations offer a calm, supportive space to explore these concerns with an experienced practitioner - Shuna Hammocks.

April carries a different kind of energy.

A sense of things shifting.
Changing.
Not quite where they were, and not yet fully formed.

In nature, and often in our bodies too.

This in-between space can feel energising, or sometimes a little unsettled.

Wherever you find yourself this season, we’re here to support you 🌿
