❓A question I get asked a lot: do I need a belt❓

My short answer... No.

My long answer... Maybe.

A belt should be used as tool.

Use it as a cue to feedback if you are bracing, bracing correctly and bracing full 360 degrees around your torso.

Try to do as much as you can without it - never rely on it. Teach your body to be able to do it without and then you can whip it out of the toolbox when required: win/win 💁🏻‍♀️

If you need any more help with bracing or purchasing that belt, hollaaaa.

🎓🎓My career would have taken a far different path had it not been for the fantastic experience I had with the Sports Department at Dundee and Angus College.

The fact they are facing cuts and the same pathways will not be available to future youngsters really saddens me.

Let's get behind them!

❤️ Unbelievably proud of these two ❤️

Two regulars from our Saturday Strongwoman Class competed in their first competition today at the Women's Macgregor Stone Lifting Competition at The Rhynd winning 2nd and 3rd place.

Words can't describe how proud I am - the energy they bring to the class as well is unmatched. Along with Kay's incredible baking 🍰

My heart burst to know we bring like minded women together regularly to set the foundations for days like these.

❓ MOTIVATION ❓

People often ask me how I find the motivation to train after hours in the gym whilst training other people.

I tell them I feel honoured that I get to move my body in the way I want to.

I am not training for anyone else but myself.

I am training for my old lady body and to be able to do everything for as long as possible.

I am training so my son grows up with health and movement being in the forefront.

I am training to continue to advocate women in Sport.

THOSE are all motivation enough for me.

⚡4 weeks to go⚡

We are now in June, which means the Personal Best day is ever approaching.

It's not too late to sign up!

Previous experience is not necessary but general knowledge of the lifts involved would be beneficial.

Prior to the day, participants will need to submit their first attempt numbers. We will be warming up to a nice 1 rep max for each exercise so choose your weights accordingly 💪

This is the environment to push past your comfort zone and maybe add a 5/10kg onto your lifts.

We ask for a donation to compete - most competitions are a £20-£40 entry fee so please give what you feel is necessary.
