FILLER DISSOLVING: What You Need to Know 💉✨
Not happy with your dermal filler? Experiencing lumps, migration, or just want a more natural look again? Filler dissolving may be the solution.
We use a product called Hyaluronidase – an enzyme that safely breaks down hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers (like Revolax, Juvederm, etc.).
How does it work?
Hyaluronidase targets the HA in the filler and dissolves it, allowing your body to naturally absorb and remove it.
Common reasons for dissolving:
• Overfilled or unnatural appearance
• Filler migration (e.g. “duck lips”)
• Lumps or uneven texture
• Vascular complications (this is an emergency use)
• Wanting to start fresh
What to expect:
• Quick treatment (usually 15–30 mins)
• Results can start within hours, full effect in 24–72 hours
• Mild swelling or stinging during treatment is normal
Important to know:
• A patch test may be required (to check for allergy)
• It can dissolve your natural hyaluronic acid too, so precise placement is key
• Sometimes more than one session is needed
• Only works on HA fillers (not permanent fillers)
Safety first 🚨
Hyaluronidase is also a crucial emergency treatment used if filler blocks a blood vessel — this is why choosing a medically trained practitioner is so important.
