'Social Singalong' on Tuesday 15th September from 5 -6pm...come along and join us. No auditions, just fun, good craic and singing ๐ค๐ถ๐ต๐ถ
We're looking forward to a packed month ahead with lots going on for unpaid carers at Care to Connect. We're particularly excited to announce another Canvas Painting Evening with Claire Innes on Monday 7th, as well as an introductory Social Singalong with Clare Reynolds on Tuesday 15th, so there's lots of opportunities to get creative and display your talents in the coming weeks.
Alongside all of this, we've also got another set of Spa Treatments available on Thursday 24th and another Mindfulness Session on Tuesday 22nd to help everyone relax and find some calm away from their caring role.
There's also lots of opportunities to meet other carers at various sessions, including our regular Friday Social Hub (except for Friday 11th) and outreach sessions at Robyn's Nest and Kinlochleven Family Hub. We'll also have a drop-in run by Connecting Carers, who can answer your questions about Carer Support Plans and accessing funding for short breaks.
We'll also have a couple of dementia focussed sessions with a Dementia Friends training session on Wednesday 9th and and a drop-in on the following Wednesday (16th). These are both led by local dementia advisor, Lesley Hellon.
We also wanted to let you know that we're opening up our 1-2-1 sessions to include activity based sessions and visits to your home or local area, to help make it easier to get the support you need. You're still welcome to meet at An Drochaid at any time, but if you'd prefer to go a walk, or run, or do an activity, we're happy to accommodate this also.
