We're starting the working week with some wonderful feedback about our Heatherwood Outpatients staff nurse, Leny.

Leny carries out pre-operative assessments such as blood tests and ECGs, and provides patients with clear guidance to help them prepare for surgery and recovery. She said: It's rewarding to know that by being kind and thorough, I can help patients feel informed, reassured, and prepared.

“I enjoy meeting a wide variety of people and supporting them through their surgical journey. I support patients in planning ahead so they feel ready and informed every step of the way.”

Our lovely Parkside breast surgeon Goran Ahmed is swapping his scrubs for Lycra to help raise money for a wheelie good cause.

Mr Ahmed will be taking part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride, cycling 86 km (55 miles) on 13 September to fundraise for Frimley Health Charity.

Frimley Health Charity raises money to fund extra medical equipment, improved hospital environments, staff wellbeing, and research within Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
