Hi, I'm Callie

I am so happy you are here...

We all want to feel good about ourselves and enjoy life to the fullest and for many, consistent daily yoga practice is already contributing to a happier, healthier more joyful way of being. My passion is to share with everyone how simple steps, taken every day, can lead us all to a life of deeper connection, peace and happiness. I have been helping pe

ople live happy and fulfilling lives through the practices of yoga since 2008. After feeling transformed from my very first yoga class way back in 2002, I ventured into the world of yoga and found myself on a path of self-discovery that would change my life forever.

The Lost Words Blessing

Enter the wild with care, my love
And speak the things you see
Let new names take and root and thrive and grow
And even as you travel far from heather, crag and river
May you like the little fisher, set the stream alight with glitter
May you enter now as otter without falter into water

Look to the sky with care, my love
And speak the things you see
Let new names take and root and thrive and grow
And even as you journey on past dying stars exploding
Like the gilded one in flight, leave your little gifts of light
And in the dead of night my darling,
find the gleaming eye of starling
Like the little aviator, sing your heart to all dark matter

Walk through the world with care, my love
And sing the things you see
Let new names take and root and thrive and grow
And even as you stumble through machair sands eroding
Let the fern unfurl your grieving, let the heron still your breathing
Let the selkie swim you deeper, oh my little silver-seeker
Even as the hour grows bleaker, be the singer and the speaker
And in city and in forest, let the larks become your chorus
And when every hope is gone, let the raven call you home

Does anyone fancy a nice long lie down, in a warm, cosy room to let the noise fall away?

How does a Sunday evening sound?

A class to soothe the nervous system, calm the mind, and promote deep rest.

In this gentle and nourishing session, we’ll explore:

Movements and postures to help open the lungs and encourage easeful breathing. We will use the soft ball and pillows for this.

A guided Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breath) practice with Bija Mantra. So great for settling the mind.

A deeply restful guided yoga nidra. A total gift to yourself.

This class is an opportunity to slow down, reset, and give yourself space to fully unwind.

Sunday 7th June 5:15pm to 7:15pm. Frodsham.

It’s taken a few days to land and gently recover from teaching my retreat at the weekend.

It’s usually only afterwards, when i’ve been able to stop and rest a bit, that I can fully appreciate the whole process of running a retreat and everything that goes into it.

Looking back on my 18 year teaching career I recognise that I have always over extended myself, literally and metaphorically.

I fractured my spine for goodness sake when I was in an ashram in India doing scorpion pose on a teacher training. I was showing off, (the inner-child in me did love to go upside down, to play and challenge myself), but ultimately I was seeking attention, or was it validation?

When it comes to how I approach my teaching, I have always offered everything and maybe even a little bit more. In the early days I would leave very little for myself - always over giving.

My time. My effort. My body. My energy. My heart.

I’ve always cared deeply, maybe a little too much.

Boundaries have slowly formed over the years.

Lessons have been learned.

I’m still working on it though.

To truly accept myself as enough and to believe it when I tell myself that what I created last weekend was beautiful, authentic and from the heart.

I am enough.

Heart full of gratitude for this weekend. ♥️

Thankful for the conversations, the cuckoo, the food, the silence, the fresh air, the sunshine, my cosy room, the learning, the flowers, the song, the laughter and the connection.

Big thanks to the Dru Team (especially Ned who I’ve named the Magic Man), Siward & Co for their heart song and Sarah Beck who’s teaching always inspires and touches a place deep inside.

And finally, thanks to my husband Pete for bringing this little chap to come live with us. We are a family of four again. ♥️

It has been a real treat to spend the weekend on a yoga retreat, just resting back and being reminded of why I love sharing yoga retreats so much ! Callie ॐ Yoga is a wonderful teacher, who shared some lovely practices with us to celebrate Beltaine, the arrival of spring. Sarah Beck was our guest teacher, and it was lovely to reconnect with her (Sarah did my final class assessment in 2007 when I was completing my training, and I've always loved her teaching), with practices focused on our heart chakra. The accommodation was lovely, and the food totally delicious, we all enjoyed a kirtan on Saturday night, and everyone who attended was a joy to spend time with (I haven't shared the group photos, not having permission to share) - it was really great !

I think perhaps there was mischief and magic in the air last light. ✨

The blanket that started off on top of my duvet found its way underneath!

In a sleepy haze I untangle myself and to my surprise, my hands give off little bolts of white light, (static of course), but immediately I think of the Fae folk having fun with me under a full moon. 🌕

Then, walking Inka just, the farmer was moving a tree out of the road by a hedgerow filled with Hawthorn. Haha what a party that must have been!

Happy Beltane!
