I Ran the first Anxiety Reset Workshop this afternoon.

Small group, which meant it was intimate and personal - exactly the right environment for this kind of work.

Everyone got into hypnosis. Everyone noticed a real shift in their level of calm. And they’ve all left with a full toolkit - including a technique that can stop a panic attack almost instantly.

Something that comes up a lot after sessions.
‘I didn’t expect to feel this calm.’
A lot of the people I work with are used to running at full capacity. Calm starts to feel unfamiliar - almost uncomfortable at first.
The stillness was always there. It just had a lot of noise on top of it 🤍

They’re still showing up, still delivering, still being the person everyone leans on.

But underneath that there’s a kind of flatness. Like they’re doing everything right and feeling less and less of it.

There’s a concept in psychology called Johari’s Window.

It’s the idea that we all have blind spots - things that are obvious to everyone around us that we genuinely can’t see in ourselves.

It’s just how awareness works.

And often, it can be the thing that’s quietly running the show in the background.

The patterns that are hardest to shift aren’t always the ones we don’t know about. Sometimes they’re the ones we’re too close to to see clearly.

That’s usually where a fresh pair of eyes makes all the difference.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining the Gainsborough Cancer support group to share a few easy tools and techniques that can help calm the nervous system and de-stress both body and mind.

We worked through three simple practices, each taking less than five minutes. One person mentioned they could feel their breathing slow down naturally, without any effort. Another said they could see themselves using these in a GP waiting room before an appointment.

Which is brilliant because that’s exactly the point! These tools don’t require a quiet room or a spare hour. They work in real life, in real moments.

These are the kinds of tools we use every Wednesday evening at Reset Studio in Gainsborough - if you’re local and curious, you’re welcome to come along 🤍
