I absolutely love autumn, but not so much the seasonal illnesses that come with it. My wonderful woodland walks would often be limited due to coughs, colds and those blistering cold sores that came with them 🤒 Then I discovered this power packed savour. When the dreaded lurgy hits our home I boil up a pot of honey or maple syrup with root ginger, lemon and turmeric (I add a red chilli if the cold has gone to the chest) and 30 drops of Neals Yards Remedies echinacea tincture. Our children called it “dragon fire lemonade” as it warmed their chests. The tincture is on offer at the moment so my friends and I stocked up. We had the cosiest autumn craft session at this weeks sister circle. I harvested the remaining lavender from our garden and we made organic aromatic lanterns. We wove the lavender onto a cylindrical wire frame. When you pop a tea light into the centre of the frame it warms the lavender releasing the most blissful aroma.
