Today I had a conversation with a potential customer that really made me stop and think.

There is so much information out there for disabled people, carers and families, but unless you know where to look, who to ask, which groups to join or what organisations and apps are actually helpful, it can feel overwhelming.

Sometimes the biggest challenge is not just disability itself, but finding the right support, advice, community and opportunities in the first place.

The lady I spoke to today was so happy to have found my service, and that genuinely meant a lot. She said she is looking forward to following our journey as we grow, and hopefully one day I will be able to support her adventure with the right adapted motorhome for her needs.

That conversation really reminded me how many people are out there trying to navigate life, travel, support and accessibility without always knowing where to start.

Social media can be brilliant, but not everyone is in the same groups or follows the same pages, and sometimes the most valuable support comes from other people sharing what has helped them.

So I would love to use this post to build something helpful.

If you know of a great group, app, page, organisation or community that supports disabled people, carers or families, please add it in the comments below. It could be for accessible travel, equipment, grants, days out, support, advice, wellbeing or simply connecting with people who understand.

I will also share some of the communities and organisations I follow too, because if we can help even one person find the right support or feel less alone, it is worth it.
