THREE SESSIONS DOWN! Upper leg fully healed on this outside leg panel in a Japanese theme for ! This piece really stresses the importance of solid anchoring blacks in black and grey realism in order to achieve that solid heal. I am also a massive advocate of using line art to structure your pieces, I find this not only increases the longevity and readability of the piece but also speeds me up, I always try when I am applying a piece to fully saturate in one pass and then move on to the next area and never rehit an area. This is quite different to how other black and grey artists tattoo were usually tones are built up over time with lots of strategic layering as well as super soft edges and a lack of edge lining. Not to say both canβt work as they can but this is just my preferred method that I find helps expedite my tattooing process. Ultimately all that matters is the final product and the healed result regardless of how it is applied! Just thought I would share a little insight into how I go about applying my pieces, if you want to know anything about what needles I use, inks or process feel free to ask in the comments ππ€!
