Due to an ever increasing workload we URGENTLY require volunteers that have Groups & Social Media Experience
🛑(Both are a MUST ) .🛑

Other roles as listed below are available (EXPERIENCE FOR ALL REQUIRED as we are so busy we need you to be able to work off own initiative immediately )

🛑ROLES AVAILABLE (Due to lack of time ONLY experienced people can be considered)
1- UK & IRELAND GROUP ADMINS which INCLUDES being able to create posts AND posters
2- SELLING SITE CHECKERS for multiple cases
3- ADMIN REQUIRED FOR EMAIL MAILSHOTS and to use own initiative finding correct contacts
4- GROUP ADMINS to help check pending & comments on multiple groups
5- CAT SPECIALIST- which INCLUDES being able to create posts AND posters .Good Knowledge required of cat behaviours /cat breeds
6-TWITTER(X) VOLUNTEER - To help run our Twitter (X) efficiently daily
7- IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SKILLS THAT WILL ASSIST IN OUR DAILY WORK PLEASE GET IN TOUCH

We want to ensure we are giving our BEST to all we help
This requires DAILY time, dedication to make change and putting
Owner and Missing/Stolen pets "NUMBER 1 PRIORITY"

Something very special is coming this month. 🐾
TWO SISTERS. TWO VOICES. ONE SHARED JOURNEY

For some time now, Deborah (my sister) and I have been working away at something very close to our hearts. For those of you who are new here, Deborah and her dog Chloe are the reason I started Tails of Tribute.

On 29th September, Tails of Tribute: A Pet Loss Poetry Collection will finally be published.
A collection of poems about love, loss, guilt, memory, anticipatory grief, difficult decisions, healing, remembrance and the light that remains long after our beloved companion is gone.

Debbie and I have both deeply suffered the loss of treasured animal friends, and although we are sisters, we write from two very different places & styles. Which is what complements this collection so beautifully. My writing tends to come from emotion, memory and the physical experience of grief, whilst Deborah's voice is more reflective, questioning and searching for understanding.

This isn't a grief-guidance book; instead, we wanted to create something that would comfort and sit beside you in those moments when advice isn't needed or when your words can't express what you are feeling. Something to help you feel less alone and misunderstood in your grief.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about the book, the stories behind some of the poems and a glimpse inside the collection before publication day.

With recent media coverage and 'that documentary', I felt it was important to publish a blog about the impact of pet loss on members of the neurodiverse community.
It's important to highlight that everyone grieves differently and that what appears on the outside doesn't always reflect what is being felt on the inside.
I'm no expert but having ADHD myself and having supported clients with autism and ADHD over the years, I have gained valuable insight and knowledge which I share along with some useful tips in this blog. I hope it helps promote understanding and compassion for those who struggle with big emotions most of the time when they need it the most. Xx

Sometimes it can be difficult to know what to say to someone who is grieving the loss of their companion animal.

Gentle words of acknowledgement can be very comforting. Try saying:

🌈 I know how much they meant to you.

🌈 I’m sorry you’re going through this.

🌈 I’m here if you want to talk - or if you’d rather just sit quietly together.

Thank you so much to Rev. Kim Watt at Fenwick Parish Church for such a wonderful afternoon celebrating and giving thanks for the animals in our lives. It was a truly great service and really well attended.

I had the pleasure of speaking alongside a guide dog owner, a bee keeper, a shepherdess and an officer from the mounted branch of Police Scotland.

And, for the very first time, I was asked for a photo! How cool is that?!

A special thanks to my lovely dad who is always supportive of my work & took a wee recording for me. Although I suspect the highlight of his day was meeting the police horses Glen Luce & Nairn! I had a wee chuckle to myself at the coincidence as we used to holiday down at Luce Bay when I was little and my granny was originally from Nairn! Lol! Xx 🙏🩷🌈🐾
