An experienced Integrative and Complementary Medicine Specialist, trainer, coach and palliative care nurse, Adele’s experience has taught her that health and well-being are more than just the absence of disease. Adele has over 27 years’ experience working professionally with clients providing treatments, training, and workshops on an individual and group basis. Working within the public and private sectors, including corporate, voluntary, charitable and community organisations Adele has worked with people from all walks of life – from assisting and supporting clients on their fertility journey through to end of life care, and everything in-between including mental health, addiction recovery, pain management, stress & anxiety management.
Adele’s professional education and training includes many healing modalities; Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Motivational Life-Coaching, Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine, Kinesiology, Reiki and other energy and personal empowerment techniques.
Adele begins her journey with clients by recognizing the individuality of each client; their unique physical, physiological, and emotional selves, customizing treatments and approaches that support clients to be their own best advocate and to reconnect with the balance and harmony that already exists within.
Adele’s experiences have deepened her personal and spiritual belief that we are all connected, and that a conscious, mindful, and compassionate heart-based way of life is the only peaceful way forward.
MAUREEN -
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
― Nelson Mandela
As a passionate believer in the power of educating yourself, it only seemed natural for Maureen to combine her experiences in teaching English and working with young people who face inordinate challenges on a day-to-day basis with her other skills in Hypnotherapy and Neural Linguistic programming. Empowering individuals with hope, knowledge and the right tools to secure a more positive and enlightened outlook on life has been her motivation.
Maureen has worked with children and young adults with challenging behaviour since 1995, using a variety of strategies and techniques to strengthen resilience and promote positive change. In 2001 she was accepted into the Fulbright Programme and worked for the year in a State senior high school in Chicago, honing her skills in a very different classroom environment. In house training programmes, including Restorative Justice, developed a deeper understanding of the importance of language, how we ‘talk’ about ourselves and communication skills required to navigate challenging relationships.
Prior to this Maureen worked in the corporate world here and abroad and was introduced to the ideology of mindfulness and directed visualisation in the 1970s in Canada. This along with a keen interest in the power of the mind propelled Maureen in the direction of embedding positive change and a desire to assist individuals to address, edit and rewrite their own stories.
As an employee of Glasgow City Council and as a private Consultant, Maureen prepared and delivered a variety of CPD workshops on Health and Wellbeing priorities in Education and the Private sector including Solution Oriented Approaches to manage work related stress. As a Hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner and Reiki Master, Maureen works with private clients on a one to one basis with a range of emotional and physical challenges.
CHELE -
“Social work practitioners need to be able to tune into the level on which they see the human soul in front of them. The soul is neither male nor female. It is simply their being, their essence, their point of connection with all other energies that dance around the universe. To be able to connect with and love this aspect of the person, whatever is brought to the sessions in terms of problems, is a vital part of the healing process. “
Chaplin 1989
