Dr Andrew takes us through a recent case that highlights the impact thoughtful, minimally invasive treatment can have on the appearance and long-term health of a patient’s smile.
 
This patient felt unhappy with the shape of her teeth, alongside visible wear and chipping. After discussing her concerns and the options available to her, Dr Andrew created a tailored treatment plan focused on improving her smile in a natural, balanced way. 
 
After using Invisalign to correct her bite, Andrew was able to then focus on restoring the areas affected by chipping and subtly refine the overall shape of her teeth.

The result is a smile that feels more even and better protected for the future. The patient now feels more confident in her smile with a beautiful result both she, and Andrew, are delighted with.

Smile Design with Dr Shad Jaff.

This patient came to see Dr Shad, initially asking about treatment of a front tooth in time for her graduation.
In their one-to-one consultation, Shad took time to really understand what she was hoping to achieve overall - how she wanted her smile to look and feel. Together they developed a treatment plan to deliver the result she wanted.

Tapping into the collaborative nature of Advanced Dentistry Hyndland, Dr Philip Friel carried out gum contouring as part of the plan, before treatment retuned to Dr Shad for the ceramic work.

We were delighted to be able to deliver a natural, photo-ready smile that felt right for the patient in time for her graduation.

We are delighted to announce that we will be welcoming Dr Laurence Masters to Glasgow in September, for a two-day masterclass on Skeletal Anchorage in Modern Orthodontics.

In this two-day course, he’ll be discussing how to use TADs and Miniplates to increase movement, reduce complications and enhance treatment time. Participants will enjoy a mix of hands-on practical sessions and real-life case studies to study successful applications and outcomes.

We sat down with Dr Shad to talk about a recent patient case, and his patient-first approach to creating confident, natural smiles.

This patient was unhappy with her front two teeth and some older crowns in particular, but felt unsure about the best way forward. In the initial consultation, Shad explored her concerns and expectations to help shape a plan that felt right for her.

They opted for veneers across the front teeth and after seeing her trial smile, she knew it was the right decision. She returned for her final treatment feeling excited and confident in the approach.

She left with a smile she loves and described it as the best decision she had made that year, just in time for some important moments ahead.
