There any many things that I don’t care about as a therapist but what I do care about is how seen, heard and understood my clients feel.

The importance of connection is so clear. Through all the group work, workshops and retreats I’ve ran or been apart of I have seen first hand the impact of people coming together to share moments of learning, laughter, presence, showing up for themselves and having the the opportunity to share their own stories and experiences.

What a privilege to be apart of some of these moments ❀️

This is a reminder that your feelings don’t always have to make perfect sense to be valid. You can be in a good space but still have challenging times. You can want things to change but be worried about what that might look like. Both can exist and that’s ok.

Some people may come to therapy questioning the validity of their experiences, thoughts or feelings. Your story is our own and you don’t need to edit yourself with me and you also don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Taking up space can feel like a radical move when we are so used to masking or making ourselves small to make other people more comfortable but I am here to tell you that you are allowed to take up space and show up as yourself.

Starting therapy can feel like a big leap when you may be unsure of what to expect.

Many people may worry that they will have to open up straight away or may feel nervous about where to start.

During our therapy session, we will go at your pace. There will be no pressure or expectation to share more than you are comfortable with. I offer a warm, open and accepting space.

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, get in touch and we can begin the conversation.

I am pleased to announce that I will be moving to a new therapy space at 180 Hope Street in Glasgow city centre ✨

The space has been thoughtfully chosen with my clients in mind to support comfort, privacy and a calming atmosphere where you can just be yourself.

I’m really looking forward to continuing our work together here, and to welcoming new clients into the space.

I work with people who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma or navigating life transitions. I also work with those exploring their identity and neurodiversity.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like more information on therapy with me.

Boundaries are rules and limits that you set to protect something. They may protect others, such as giving a child the rule about safety. They may protect you, including your time, energy, and security.
β€’
Communicating boundaries can be challenging. Feelings of guilt and fear may emerge, especially if you have a tendency to people-please.
β€’
There are sometimes people in your life that may try to push your boundaries and change your mind. They may feel disappointed that you have decided to set boundaries, but that doesn’t mean that what you are doing is selfish.
β€’
Boundaries are a way for you to find your voice and effectively communicate your limits. Allowing your relationships to thrive knowing that there is a mutual respect on both sides.

Why is human connection so important?
β€’
Human connection helps to improve our mood, motivation, manage our emotions and have a sense of closeness.
β€’
Connection is when two or more people interact with each other and each person feels valued, seen, and heard. There’s no judgment, and you feel stronger and enlivened after engaging with them.
β€’
When was the last time you felt connected with others?
