You know when you have a lightbulb moment 💡
So I’m not someone who would ever advocate drinking too much fruit juice. I’m a whole fruit person, because of the fibre content, which leaves you feeling fuller and doesn’t spike blood sugar as quickly as juice.
In the past few months however, I’ve had an absolute craving for orange juice, I mean I’m getting up in the middle of the night to glug it, as well as carrying bottles when out walking. When I’m obsessed, I’m really obsessed!
So recently I’ve gone low carb, I like to do this every so often and one of the first area to benefit almost immediately, is my stomach.. however, not this time. Is it age, do I need to exercise etc etc. Today whilst out walking, I bought 2 bottles of orange juice instead of my usual one. That’s when it clicked! My gut is out of whack because of the sugar content in the drink. I’m inadvertently feeding the bad bacteria, meaning my bloated gut is here for good, if I don’t change my habit!
I’ll have my last sip of juice today and then it’s back to pure water for rehydration,
I’ll keep you updated over the next week or so.
