POV: It’s absolutely hammering it down… so you skip the SPF. 🌧️

Don’t!!

Clouds might make Glasgow look like it’s permanently stuck in November, but UV rays don’t take the day off because it’s raining.

UVA can still reach your skin through cloud and is one of the main culprits behind premature ageing, pigmentation and collagen breakdown.

So yes… SPF every morning.
Even when it’s grey.
Even when it’s raining.
Even when you’re wondering why you live here. 😂

And naturally… it’s cleared up now. ☀️

Why am I always reaching for the ice? ❄️

If you've had a laser treatment with me, you'll know I use cooling before and after every treatment — and it's not just to make things feel a little more comfortable!

Laser works by delivering energy into the skin, which creates heat at the treatment target. The aim is to get that energy where we want it, while controlling the heat in the surrounding tissue.

❄️ Cooling before treatment helps lower the skin's temperature before the laser is applied. This can help protect the epidermis and underlying dermal tissue from excessive thermal exposure.

❄️ Cooling after treatment helps bring the skin temperature back down, soothe the area and calm the skin.

So when you see me reaching for the ice, it's not an afterthought — cooling is an important part of my approach to safe, controlled laser treatments.

It's not just about the laser settings. It's about understanding the skin, managing the heat and looking after your skin throughout the treatment. 🤍

And yes… you might feel like you're freezing your bits off 🥶😂 but there's method to the madness — it's all part of keeping your skin safe! ❄️

Microneedling might look a little intimidating… but as we’ve established, there are plenty of things more painful. 😂

Microneedling works by creating tiny controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating the skin’s natural repair process and encouraging collagen and elastin production.

The result? Brighter, smoother, more radiant-looking skin, with improvements in texture and overall skin quality. ✨

A course of 4–6 treatments is generally recommended for the best results, with treatments spaced appropriately to allow the skin time to recover and regenerate.

The summer glow is lovely… but now comes your skin’s season 👀🍂

If your skin is still carrying that gorgeous summer glow, enjoy it — but once the tan fades and you’re back to your natural pasty white Glasgow complexion 😂, that’s when we can really get to work.

Autumn & winter are ideal months to target things like:

✨ Thread veins – treating those little red veins that have been bothering you
✨ Carbon facials – for brighter, smoother, clearer-looking skin
