SBH Scotland style...water pistols, pizza, face painting, friends, laughter and even the chance to soak the CEO. 🤣

Thank you to all of the families who came to the SBH Scotland World Cup Party at our HQ today. 🙏

It was a day filled with special moments, including some birthday cake 🍰, friends spending time together and having a blast.

Do we need to soak the CEO every time Scotland win now? 🌊

💜 “My Seth shouldn’t ever be made to feel different” – Margaret, Seth’s mum

Because of your support, Seth has a community where he belongs.

When Margaret attended her 20-week scan, her world changed overnight. That was the first time she heard the words Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus—and faced an unknown future for her baby.

Today, Seth is growing into a bright, determined young boy—but life hasn’t always been easy. At school, he’s the only child in his class with a physical disability, and he’s becoming more aware of what makes him different.

💬 “I just want him to have the best life possible.”

Thanks to you, Seth doesn’t have to face that feeling alone.

Through SBH Scotland’s family groups, Seth has found his people—a place where nothing is hidden, where shared experiences are normal, and where he feels understood.

💬 “He feels he is part of the gang.”
From laughter-filled outings to building confidence and independence, your support has helped Seth thrive—he’s even playing wheelchair basketball with the Grampian Flyers!

Now, Seth is preparing for his next big milestone: starting high school. It’s a big step, and naturally, he feels anxious. But with your help, he has the support he needs—every step of the way.

💬 “Your support changes everything.”
Because of you, Seth has:
✨ A place where he feels included
✨ A community that understands him
✨ The confidence to simply be himself
💜 A place where he belongs.

Thank you for being part of Seth’s journey.
— Margaret, Seth’s Mum

PS: Your gift today will ensure Seth—and children like him—always have a place where they belong. 💜

We want to understand what activities interest you, what barriers you face, and how you would like opportunities to be delivered.

Your feedback will help us design future programmes and activities that meet the needs of our community.

To all of the players, supporters and people who donated - you are amazing 🤩

Together you have absolutely smashed the target of £2500, raising a whopping:

🎉🗣️£5661🗣️🎉

Everyone at SBH Scotland are so thankful for your support and kindness.

We can't wait for "The Decider" in 2027 ⚽

What a Day for an Incredible Cause! 💚💙⚽

On Saturday, we were proud to be part of the Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland Charity Football Rematch, bringing together businesses, sponsors, players, supporters, families and the wider community for a truly special event.

The game ended 2-1 Celtic 🍀, tying the score at 1 game each now. The decider to now happen in 2027z

Together, we raised an incredible £6,200+ for SBH Scotland, a fantastic achievement that will help support children, young people and families across Scotland living with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible:

👏🏻Chris Findlay for organising another fantastic event and bringing everyone together.

👏🏻 Andrew Flynn and the entire team at Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland for the incredible work they do every single day.

👏🏻 Stephanie Findlay at Head Spa with Steph for their sponsorship and support.

👏🏻 Everyone at Kirkwood Asset Finance who helped support the event and fundraising efforts and provided the buffets for both daytime and evening.

👏🏻 Every single player who pulled on a shirt, gave up their time and played in great spirits for such a worthwhile cause.

👏🏻 Everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets, sponsored players, shared posts and helped raise awareness.

👏🏻 Every supporter who came along to watch, cheer, laugh and make the atmosphere so special.

But most importantly…

❤️ To the children and families living with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.

You are the reason these events matter. Your courage, resilience and positivity inspire everyone involved, and it was a privilege to spend the day with you. Seeing the smiles on the faces of the children reminded us all exactly why we do this.

Community, friendship and generosity were on full display, and we couldn’t be prouder to have played a small part in such a successful day.

Here’s to making next year’s event even bigger and better.

🙏Thank you Terry from Clean Outdoor Solutions 🙏

🙏Thank you Scott from The Lawn Ranger Gardening Services 🙏

We have had a busy week in the garden at SBH Scotland HQ.

The derelict play area has been safely dismantled and removed by the Lawn Ranger team. 🧑‍🌾🪏

We then had a visit today from Terry who cleaned, sanitised and treated the whole area completely for free. 🧽🫧

We are blown away by the difference these 2 brilliant companies have made this week - thank you.

We will be working hard over the next few weeks and months to secure funds, discuss your ideas and make this brilliant space into something you will enjoy. 😀

We are incredibly grateful to Millie and her team at Braidhurst High School for choosing Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland as their charity of choice for this year’s Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) 💜

For those who may not know, YPI is a fantastic programme that empowers young people to learn about social issues, research local charities, and advocate for causes they care about — all while developing confidence, teamwork, and presentation skills.

We were absolutely delighted to see Millie and her team make it all the way to the final. While they may not have taken home the top prize, they are our winners, and we couldn’t be prouder of their passion, effort, and dedication to raising awareness of our cause👏

An extra special thank you must go to Shirley, an SBH Scotland member who came along to support Millie and her group and spoke during their presentation on her lived experience with Spina Bifida.

Inspired by their work? If your school or community group would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! Our Schools and Community Fundraiser, Kayleigh Findlay, is available to visit and chat about our charity and how you can support us.
