- MOVE with mat-based Pilates. Based on Joseph Pilates original repertoire of 34 exercises, Move Train Eat Pilates is tailored for individual needs. Adapted for your level and with small equipment to assist, we’ll lengthen, strengthen and tone your body, whilst working on your mobility, flexibility and balance. Plus, we’ll teach you the Pilates fundamentals to allow you to get the most out of your practice.

- TRAIN in group exercise to music sessions. It’s not in the 'proper gym', it’s in our home studio or your home, or in a group fitness setting and it’s meant to be FUN. We focus on small movements, using dumbbells, resistance bands, ankle weights, high and low impact cardio to music. We layer it up based on what suits you, helping you smash your goals, one workout at a time. Grab a friend and get involved!

- EAT delicious food, always. Depending on your goals, we’ll help you with how best to fuel your body. We’ll look at your energy levels, your intake, how active you are and advise you on what changes to make. We’re full of recipe recommendations and food and drink swap ideas too! WHERE Sessions and coaching meetings are held at our home studio in Jordanhill, at your home, or workplace, or online if you’re based far from Glasgow. We have a few locations across Glasgow City Centre we can use if this suits better. High protein pancakes that don’t taste like cardboard? 🥞

Banoffee Pancakes the whole family will enjoy

(To keep you on track and feeling good!)

Blend the pancake batter ingredients in a blender jug. Blend well until smooth.
If the batter is too thick, add a splash of milk and blend again.
Heat ½ tsp avocado oil in a frying pan over a medium flame.
Reduce the heat to low.
Pour ⅙ of the pancake mixture into the centre of the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. When bubbles appear on the surface of the pancake, flip or turn and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the underside is golden.
Transfer the pancake to a plate. Repeat with the remaining oil and batter until all used up.
Add the toppings and serve.
Store any leftover pancakes in an airtight container and put in the fridge for up to two days.

My museum of failures…this week.

I know I cannot do it all at the same time in one day - but why do I always forget then feel bad when some things slip?! So silly - I know the facts!

Woman to woman, you CAN do it all but NOT all in one day! You need to ditch some tasks to take care of yourself (and have fun!) and that is A-OK!

For example, today, my house isn’t tidy - because I chose to make myself a healthy breakfast before starting work..

My hair isn’t washed - because I chose to go a long walk yesterday morning.

My washing is piling up - because I went to bed at 8.30pm last night so simply ran out of time.

I’ve fallen behind on work - because I’ve done x2 20 min Pilates sessions for myself.

We can’t socialise, exercise, clean, cook, look after our appearance, sort the kids, email the nursery, phone the Drs and do the food shop every single day - something has to give!

We know the mother’s load is real - but my thinking? Let’s at least make space for our own stuff in the mental load! If nothing else, to cheer us up and make it feel like less of a slog.

Good food, good movement, outside time, sleep - four things we never regret spending time on 💛💛

What can you ditch today?! Washing? Hair wash?

You’ve been avoiding the Pret breakfast baguette for years. Here’s why you don’t need to.

Stay on track at PRET…breakfast edition pret

After the response (and saves!) to the Nando’s and Tesco posts, I wanted to continue the series.

It’s a huge (and pretty varied and healthy) menu - so I’ve broken it down into multiple posts. This one covers the breakfasts, and I’ve tried to cover off all tastes, cravings and moods…

So whether you’re a coffee and a pastry gal, a fruit bowl foodie, a breakfast bap lover, or an OG Pret porridge fan, I’ve got a breakfast recommendation for you to help you stay on track.

SAVE DOWN and let me know in the comments what is helpful, and most importantly, WHERE NEXT?

Feeling a bit meh after a big weekend? This plan of food, movement, sleep and simple things has you covered. It’s nothing crazy, nothing scary - just real, simple, effective ways to have you feeling back to your best this week.

Save it down and tick them off as you go!

If you overdid it on the weekend, what was the best bit? 🙈😂 the Prosecco? The treats? The long lies!

Tell me in the comments - I had two takeaways over the weekend with family so I’m going for a healthy reset too! ❤️

In a rut? You don’t need a total overhaul, you just need a few things to help you feel a bit more in control and like you’re doing some healthy bits amid a very busy day! These might help.

Honestly pregnancy update: part 1

Oh it’s not all roses is it, but it is changing and moving and growing.

Main update from me - appetite uncontrollable, anxiety is okay (ish) and movement still feeling good. I love pregnancy safe Pilates so much and am just grateful to be moving and feel good doing so!

What stage are you at and what can you not stop eating? 😂

Weekend recipe series

I’ve got you covered. 🫡

SAVE it down and be ready for the Friday decision of “what are we having”🙈

Bring a saucepan of water to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and
add the rice. Cook according to packet instructions. Note:
wholegrain rice takes longer to cook than white rice. If using
white rice, avoid stirring too much during cooking time as the rice
can become sticky.
When the rice is cooked, drain and leave for 2-3 minutes to stand.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a saucepan over a medium flame. Add
the meat and fry for five minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the bell pepper and fry for two minutes, stirring continuously.
Add the curry paste and fry for two minutes, stirring continuously.
Add the fish sauce and stir well. Cook for two minutes. Taste and
add more seasoning if desired.
Stir in the coconut milk and simmer for five minutes.
Stir in the beans and cook for four minutes, or until tender.
Add the garnishes and serve.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up
to 2 days or freeze on same day.

Stay on track at Tesco Cafe…let’s go! Tesco

After the interest in the Nando's UK & Ireland post and a few nutrition clients asking what I’d recommend at Tesco Cafe - here we go.

Brekkie or lunch both have potential to be nutritious or heavy meals depending on what you go for, and sometimes when we’re hungry and we have a hungry toddler with us it’s hard to make a sensible choice. Deciding beforehand or at least having the list on our phones can sometimes be easier!

SAVE down for your next visit. And let me know, what menu should I share recommendations on next?

I’m going to let the mum clients do the talking here…

Laura, Pepe, Natalie and Lizzie are four of the mums in the move train eat Pilates community who have found movement, consistency and joy through online Pilates.

The juggle and lack of time is real - but these 25-35 mins sessions make it possible for those of us who struggle to find any time for ourselves, never mind multiple 60min slots per week.

Do you relate to this struggle?
