Vicky Smyth Therapies - Shiatsu Massage Hypnotherapy Glasgow West End Realise your Potential 🌼
I am a therapist with over 30 years of professional experience offering Shiatsu Therapy, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique

Vicky has been studying and practising shiatsu since 1989. Graduating in Glasgow and a post graduate of the Shiatsu College of Norwich, Vicky has been fortunate to study advanced techniques with many inspiring and internationally respected teachers, most notably Clifford Andrews and Pauline Sasaki. I have worked in many different settings and clinics in Glasgow including Health Board initiatives. Since 1996 I have been a permanent member of the teaching team at the Glasgow School of Shiatsu. Here, and at other UK shiatsu schools, I teach all levels of the 3 year diploma course and organises a variety of workshops. Reiki training began in 1990 and in 2008 I became a master. Reiki enhances my shiatsu work and connection to the body’s energy and continues to be a powerful form of healing and strengthening, both to give and to receive! A regular practice of Mindfulness meditation and yoga and many years of Qi Gong are inspiring influences, and I have a special interest in Chinese Food Therapy. I am a practitioner and teacher member of the register of the Shiatsu Society, our regulatory body whose standards serve as benchmarks for European shiatsu practice. Recently I added hypnotherapy to my services and to help people overcome health issues, phobias, anxiety, smoking cessation, mental blocks and addictions and much more. For more info please call me for an informal chat.

✍ Have you ever paused amid the rush of daily life, placed a hand over your heart, and simply listened to its quiet rhythm?

Every breath we draw, every beat keeping time within us, is a quiet miracle of nature. Our own existence—with all its joys, sorrows, experiences, and lessons—is an irreplaceable gift that we so easily take for granted.

When we slow down to truly honor and cherish our own life, our hearts naturally open to embrace the lives of all living beings around us. From a tiny green sprout reaching toward the sun, to a bird singing on the porch, to every person walking beside us—each shares the exact same heartfelt wish: to live, to be safe, and to be loved.

All life on this earth is interconnected, like countless drops of water forming a single, flowing river.

When we view all beings with gentle reverence, we do not merely protect the world around us—we tend to the garden of peace within our own souls. Living with gratitude for every breath, kindness toward every step, and love for all living beings naturally opens our hearts to the true beauty of life.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏

☀️ Good Morning: What a gift it is to be here—breathing, present, and alive in this moment. Today is full of possibility, as peace is already here, available in every breath and through being mindful in our thoughts, actions, and speech in daily life.

Wherever the day leads, the present moment is always a place we can return to. May we find peace always with us when we practice mindfulness and being present here and now. When we have some free time, let us take a moment to be aware of our breath, staying calm and steady. That is something truly worth smiling about this morning.

Today is going to be our peaceful day.
May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

🌅 Good Morning! A Peaceful Day Begins. May we practice mindfulness throughout the day—being mindful of our breath, our thoughts, our words, and our actions. In this awareness, we find the stillness of peace. In this presence, we discover the warmth of loving-kindness and compassion.

Every moment is a fresh opportunity to return to ourselves and be fully present. Each breath is a gentle reminder to come back home to the here and now.

We are all walking this path together. Let us walk mindfully through this day, supporting one another with every step we take toward peace. Today is going to be our peaceful day.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨
