But effective care delivery relies on more than policies and processes, it depends on skilled, compassionate professionals who support individuals every day.

In our latest blog, we explore the impact of domiciliary care and how experienced agency care professionals help providers maintain continuity, quality, and person-centred support.

β˜€οΈ Top tips for keeping cool in the heat

With temperatures rising, it’s important to take a few simple steps to keep people safe and comfortable, particularly those who may be more vulnerable to the effects of heat.

βœ”οΈ Keep individuals out of direct sun during the hottest part of the day (usually between 3-5pm)
βœ”οΈ Encourage regular fluid intake
βœ”οΈ Keep cool with light, loose clothing
βœ”οΈ Use a cool, damp cloth or spray to help lower body temperature
βœ”οΈ Keep indoor environments cool by closing curtains or blinds

Supporting people through warm weather conditions is essential in preventing heat-related illness.
At Ailsa Response, our trained staff are experienced in monitoring wellbeing and responding to changing needs, helping providers maintain safe, effective care during periods of increased risk 🧑

The session will be held by Naeema Sajid from Diversity + (https://bit.ly/3SKWDRu), who will guide the conversation and help us gather feedback and insights that will shape what we do next. You can contribute as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
