😴 Sleep: The Most Underrated Form of Self-Care

Today, I was working with a client who was running on very little sleep.
As we talked, it became clear that late-night screen time had become a habit, and like many people, they hadn't fully realised the impact that lack of sleep can have on both the body and mind.

We often wear tiredness as a badge of honour. We push through, grab another coffee, and tell ourselves we'll catch up later.

But sleep isn't a luxury.
It's when our bodies repair, our minds process information, our emotions reset, and our energy is restored.

When we're sleep-deprived, we can experience:
🧠 Poor concentration and memory 😟 Increased stress and irritability 💪 Lower energy and motivation ❤️ Greater strain on our overall health
Sometimes the most powerful wellbeing practice isn't doing more.
It's switching off the screen, putting down the phone, and giving yourself permission to rest.

Tonight, ask yourself:
✨ What could change in your life if you prioritised sleep as much as you prioritise everything else?

I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. How many hours of sleep do you usually get each night?

💙 Carers Week 2026 💙

This week, I'm taking a moment to recognise the incredible unpaid carers in our communities.

Whether you're caring for a parent, child, partner, friend, or family member, the support you provide often comes from a place of deep love and compassion. Yet caring can also be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding.

Many carers spend so much time looking after others that their own wellbeing is pushed to the bottom of the list.

Carers Week is an important reminder that while caring for others matters, caring for yourself matters too.

Taking a few moments to pause, rest, breathe, and check in with your own needs isn't selfish—it's essential. You cannot pour from an empty cup.

To every unpaid carer reading this: thank you for everything you do. Your kindness, patience, and dedication make a difference every single day.

Be gentle with yourself this week. 💙

🌿 The Beauty of Noticing 🌿

This morning, I had the privilege of working with a lovely group of people, each with their own unique abilities and experiences.

During our session, we went on a "senses adventure"—taking time to tune into what we could see, hear, feel, and smell in the present moment.

When I asked if anyone could smell anything right now, one lovely lady paused and smiled. She said she could smell the washing powder on her freshly washed clothes.
What a wonderful answer.

Not flowers. Not coffee. Not something extraordinary.
Simply the comforting scent of clean clothes.
It was a beautiful reminder that mindfulness isn't about finding something special. It's about noticing what's already here.
So many of us move through our days on autopilot, rushing from one task to the next, missing the small moments that can bring us comfort, joy, and connection.

Today, I invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself:
✨ What can you notice right now that you might normally overlook?

Share your answer in the comments—I’d love to hear what mindful moments you've discovered today.

🌿 Mindfulness Challenge: The 60-Second Pause

Today, before you scroll, rush, reply, or move on to the next thing... stop for just 60 seconds.
Look around. Notice 3 things you can see. Notice 2 things you can hear. Notice 1 thing you can feel.

That's it.

No incense. No mountain ⛰ retreat. No need to sit cross-legged 🧘‍♀️ for an hour.

Just one minute of paying attention to the moment you're already in.

You might be surprised how much calmer, clearer, and more present you feel afterwards.

👇 Tell us in the comments: What was the one thing you noticed that you would normally have missed?

Let's inspire each other to find more moments of mindfulness in everyday life.

Small Business Week started yesterday, and this year marks 10 years since I started my mindfulness coaching business.

It hasn't always been easy. There have been tears, tantrums, challenges, and plenty of lessons along the way. Running a small business isn't just about doing something you love—there are all the added extras too: social media, accounts, marketing, admin, and everything in between.

It's been a huge learning curve, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported me over the past decade and trusted me to be part of their mindfulness journey.

Here's to 10 years of growth, learning, and helping others find a little more calm in their lives. ♥️

🌞Hello June 🌞

A new month begins. Take a moment today to slow down, breathe deeply, and notice what’s here right now. You don’t need to have everything figured out—just focus on the next small step.

May June bring you more peace, presence, and gentle moments of joy. 💞

✨ The Importance of Taking a Break ✨

After arriving home from two wonderful weeks in Crete, I'm feeling refreshed, grateful, and reminded of just how important it is to step away from our daily routines from time to time.

Over the past two weeks, I've enjoyed precious quality time with my dad, spent less time on social media, met some amazing new people, shared delicious food, explored on tuk-tuk adventures, laughed until my cheeks hurt, and created memories that I'll cherish forever. I've even come home with some new friendships too.

Taking a break isn't about escaping life—it's about reconnecting with it.

When we give ourselves permission to slow down, we create space to be present, recharge our minds, nurture our relationships, and appreciate the simple moments that often get lost in the busyness of everyday life.

Whether it's a two-week holiday, a mindful walk, a quiet cup of tea, or simply putting your phone down for an hour, giving yourself time to pause can make a world of difference to your wellbeing.

Today, I invite you to ask yourself: ❓
When was the last time you truly took a break?
