The People's Pipe - The Blue Stone Pipe

Today is 'Ploughback Monday' it is the traditional start of the agricultural year.
I was born in the country and lived most of my life in the country, and think cities area root cause of many of the world's problems.
It alarms me how out of touch most people are about the real world, and how so few don't have much of an idea about where food actually comes from.

Grandmother Earth is the root of all our lives, so today, give thanks to her and to farmers - and yes I know there is MUCH wrong with the modern agroindustry - and remember your ancestors who toiled in the fields growing crops.
Hold ploughback monday in your hearts, and as you walk the horrendous ugly city streets where you probably live, remember that under them is the earth, and probably it had crops growing on it before the cancer growth of the city blotted it out.

And remember, all cities fall and die, only the earth survives. The world of modernity will be rolled up … the Ghost Dancers were right and the Ghost Dance continues.

Altar all set up ready for cleansing. Lighting the sage was the hardest part of the ceremony, some wind, 6 match heads struck together after a few attempts, sage wand was burning like an olympic torch, didn't know if it would keep going for whole ceremony, speed it was glowing.
Blessed and cleansed pipe, filled with sacred kinnikinni.
A match would not light the to***co in the bowl, but the blazing sage wand did.
I asked the pipe to release all the prayers and beseachments it has collected over the last 5 years to the spirits in this sacred place, and asked for blessings for all who have carried this sacred pipe.
The wind dropped, I did not have to hold on to the altar cloth, and a beautyful warm feeling in the air.
The sacred pipe has come home.

Des Llewellyn‎, the current keeper of the Blue Stone pipe, took the pipe up into the Mountains of it's birth today, to take it to the top, to the sacred quarry where the blue stones of Stonehenge came from, in order to do ceremony with it.
Wading through mud which was almost knee deep in places, with disability down to at times 20 feet, to sit and do ceremony in the cold and the wind on the top of Carn Menyn

Much gratitude to Tony Tigerbee Horobin and Des Llewellyn.
We just did a small ceremony to pass the Sacred Blue Stone (Peoples) Pipe over to Des.
Des plans to take it to the mountains on the solstice and has been told to wash the pipe in water from a sacred well - it is intended that the pipe will remain in the Pembrokeshire area before it is passed on to anyone else.
it was a beautiful morning of great power and beauty and I am very grateful for my two brothers pipe carriers.

I am very pleased to say that the sacred Blue Stone pipe will return to its birth place - Pembrokeshire - on December 16th, where it will be passed to its original maker

I will be holding a pipe ceremony at the Pachamama Shamanic Circle at the Hideaway Camping ground near South Petherton from 7.15pm this evening.

It has truly been an honour to be the pipekeeper of the Peoples Pipe for a while and to be asked to share it to so many groups and circles, both to those that come to the Healing Tree Centre and out to groups and circles that wished to partake in offering their prayers to Mother Earth and all peoples of these precious Isles. I have been especially moved to sit in circle with groups who wouldnt have normally come across a sacred pipe and the chance to smoke their prayers and I have been humbled to witness such open hearts. Personally, it has been part of a greater teaching for me about the sacredness of to***co as a teacher plant and I honour that. As is the tradition, spirit has asked that it be passed on, to travel to new groups and circles and for others to add their prayers to all those that have gone before. The call was answered at the UK Shamanic Gathering and today the pipe was finally passed over to Tiger, Tony Tigerbee Horobin who, I know, will have the opportunity to carry this sacred gift so much further. I have such gratitude for all those that sat in prayer with me and know forever, we will all be part of this work. Many blessings. Aho

I will be holding a pipe ceremony on Oct 4th for Bodmin Pagan Moot at Ten Acre Wood, near Wadebridge. This will be the last of me being the pipekeeper for the Peoples Pipe as it is due to be passed on and to go to pastures new. If you would like to attend this ceremony then message me here. There will be a Pipe ceremony with the Peoples Pipe at the UK Shamanic Gathering this week. It is an honour to take the Pipe out to gatherings across these lands.

An annual event for those dedicated to the re-emergence of shamanism within the UK and beyond.
