Are You Ready to Let the Old Story Go? Who am I, really?
Not the roles. Not the titles. Not what others say about you, and not the quiet inner voice that says you are not enough.
So many of us carry a story we did not choose. One written in childhood, shaped by family, by school, by the unspoken rules of who we had to be to feel safe and loved. Be good. Be helpful. Don't take up too much space. Stay small, and maybe they will stay.
That story lives in the body. In the patterns we repeat. In the way we give and give and forget to receive. In the way we hold ourselves back even when we know, deeply, that we have something real to offer the world.
And it is not only personal. It can be layered, inherited memories carried down through generations, ancestral patterns, societal conditioning, even the land and environment we live in. So many threads woven into the fabric of who we believe ourselves to be.
The question is not what is wrong with you. The question is, are you ready to let the old story go?
Not all at once. Layer by layer. With honesty. With courage. With the same compassion you so freely give to everyone else, turn gently back toward yourself.
I know this path. I have done the inner work. I have journeyed within, and I still am. It is not always easy, and here is the thing nobody tells you: when you are too close to your own patterns, too emotionally involved, you cannot always see them clearly. That is not a weakness. That is being human.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is reach out for support. To have someone walk beside you as you begin to lift the layers, gently, at your own pace, with no judgement.
Because beneath all of it, your true self is still there. Whole. Waiting. Already enough.
