11 WHOLE YEARS 🎁 🎉

I see this trend of what you would tell your younger self.. but I look back at this person and I’m proud of who I was. 23 years old, almost 8 months pregnant, my first child and no idea what I was doing with nothing other than an idea and a fire in my belly - I was going to make something of myself even if it was only for a year or so, just so I didn’t miss my baby’s first year and I look back and that took ALOT of determination. I believe it changed me as a person massively.

But here I am, 11 years later, with three beautiful babies, a happy, healthy life and that fire I had is still there burning away but with new ideas, new plans and structures for the future and I look back on the 11 years i this little business has given me and I can honestly say it’s made me proud of everything I’ve achieved. Even if I closed the doors tomorrow (don’t worry I’m definitely not! 🤣🤣) but as a figure of speech its given me so much more than I ever set out to imagine.

So I’m not giving my advice to 23 year old me.. I’m giving it to anybody who has that idea that keeps sparking, wants to jump ships with their career - DO IT! Life is far too short to have regrets and what’s to say it won’t just be the best thing you’ve ever done! 🥰❤️

🤣🤣 this is so relatable! (Maybe not the summer bod 🤣😭) My life is currently chaos 😂 and honestly, I know I’m going to miss it come September. ❤️

But this morning, there was a little voice in my head saying: “You really need to get those quotes sent out and reply to those messages if you want to get paid!” 😂

So I got the kids ready, got Lottie to sleep & came on here to make a start, then the first two posts I saw were local small business owners apologising for not replying and being behind on messages and it really hit me. It’s not just me.

Behind most small businesses is one person doing EVERYTHING. The business, marketing, admin, actual work, stock, accounts, messages, quotes… all whilst juggling a life outside of work too.

You can message a huge company and get an automated response saying they’ll reply within 3–5 working days, but when you message a small business, it’s often one person trying to spin a million plates.

So if we don’t reply straight away, please know it’s not because we don’t want your business or don’t value your enquiry. Sometimes we’re just trying to keep everything going and fulfil many different job titles in one role.

Most small businesses are ran single-handedly and behind the screen is usually somebody who’s trying the hardest to make it work. Your patience is appreciated more than ever especially in school holidays 🥰❤️❤️

Heyyy! 👋🏼 Just checking in with you all & to let you know I’m still here behind the scenes! It seems so strange not being at work 🤣 but these 3 have definitely been keeping me busy! Today/Tomorrow are the days I swore this baby was going to arrive 😳and now I feel like she’s been here forever 🥹 maybe I’m not always right after all 🤣 but I just want to say I have seen all of your messages and kind words and they are really appreciated 🥰 two weeks into newborn life things are starting to settle down now and have more of a routine but we are all doing really well and I do appreciate you all checking in on us 🩷🩷 so I just thought I’d share a little update in the meantime and keep the page active.. ✨

With less than 3 weeks to go until my due date this is my last full working week at the clinic before I start my maternity leave 🤍👶🏼

The clinic will officially close from 25th June, and although I still don’t feel completely prepared - I’m definitely ready to start slowing down and enjoying these final weeks before baby arrives!

At the moment, I don’t have an official set return-to-work date. As much as I’d love to have all the answers, there are lots of factors that will influence when I feel ready to come back so please be a little patient with me 🥰🤍

For all of my existing clients, I’ll be sending regular updates via email throughout my maternity leave, including any information about appointments and my eventual return to the clinic. Before I finish, everyone with an upcoming appointment will receive communication so there shouldn’t be any uncertainty about what happens next.

In the meantime, I’d be really grateful if you could refrain from messaging to ask about my return, as I’ll be taking some time to focus on my family and enjoy these precious early weeks as a family of 5 ❤️
