We have a fantastic opportunity to join a warm, friendly residential home on the outskirts of Hereford, supporting adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
This is a genuinely happy home with a lovely atmosphere, and we’re looking for reliable, caring people who want regular hours and enjoy making a real difference.

🏡 30+ hours per week available
☀️🌙 Days & nights
📅 Hours worked across 3 days per week
🚗 You must drive and have access to a car due to the rural location
♿ Moving & Handling training is essential
💚 Regular, ongoing work

🕊️ Remembering Dolly Parton
19 January 1946 – 25 August 2026

Today, we join people around the world in remembering the extraordinary Dolly Parton.

Dolly will always be celebrated for her music, her unmistakable personality and the joy she brought to millions. But perhaps one of her most beautiful legacies is found not on a stage, but in the hands of a child opening their very own book.

Dolly established her Imagination Library in 1995, inspired by her much-loved father, who was a clever and hardworking man but never had the opportunity to learn to read or write.

What began by sending books to young children in her home county in Tennessee became an international literacy programme. It provides carefully selected, age-appropriate books completely free of charge to children from birth until the age of five, regardless of their family’s income.

By the end of 2025, more than 304 million books had been gifted around the world. Over 40 million were sent in 2025 alone, including almost 760,000 books to children here in the UK.

Behind every number is a child discovering a new story, a family reading together and a young imagination being encouraged to grow.

Dolly understood that books offer far more than words on a page. They build confidence, strengthen relationships, support early learning and allow children to dream beyond the world they already know.

She used her success to lift others, never forgetting where she came from or the barriers her own father had faced. That kindness will continue to reach children and families for generations.

Her voice may have fallen silent, but millions of books, and millions of young imaginations, will continue telling her story.

Rest peacefully, Dolly. Your music touched our hearts, and your generosity helped change the lives of children across the world. 💜📚
