Massage is never just about muscles.

The body often holds onto more than we realise.
Over time patterns create tension, holding and bracing, sometimes in response to physical strain, movement or postural habits, stress, unprocessed emotions and what I see often is a combination.

When those patterns have been there for months or years, they don’t simply disappear in one or two sessions. It’s often the case that when the body begins to soften, it can sometimes reveal areas that feel numb or disconnected, where sensation has dulled over time, and this is part of the process.

My approach isn’t just about working on soft tissue in isolation, but supporting the nervous system alongside the physical body, allowing things to unwind gradually, safely, and at a pace your body can actually integrate.

Massage can be a space to ease tension, feel again, and to give your system space to shift.

I’ll be closing bookings at the end of this week so I can prepare the day and give my full attention to the women who will be there.

It’s a deeply nourishing space for a small group of women to slow down, soften, and reconnect with themselves.

MOVE & MEDITATE 🙏🏻 Somatic Movement & Guided Meditation

Meditation can sometimes feel challenging when the body is restless or the mind is busy. This session offers a gradual way in, beginning with simple, embodied movement before transitioning into stillness.

We start with slow, somatic movement designed to bring attention into the body and explore sensation and breath. The movement is simple and accessible, drawing inspiration from yoga and embodied practices, and invites you to move in a way that feels supportive for you.

From there, the practice gradually shifts towards breath awareness and guided meditation techniques that support settling and presence.

The session concludes with a period of rest, giving space to pause, integrate and allow the practice to land. No previous yoga or meditation experience is needed. You are welcome to come exactly as you are.

What to Bring:
Wear clothes that you feel comfortable to move in and bring another layer or two for the still part of the session. If you have a yoga or pilates mat please bring it, plus a cushion and a blanket. I do have some yoga mats but not enough for a whole class.

The season of longer days, more plans, more invitations and the natural pull to say yes and make the most off it all.

It’s also a time where it can be easy to tip from full into stretched.

I’m reminding myself (and anyone else who might need it!) that slowing down isn’t something to earn once everything is done. It’s something we weave in, especially when life feels full so that we can actually make the most of & be present for all this season has to offer.

That’s the intention behind what I’m offering this month…

Summer is often a time where we feel our capacity expand with a desire to make the most of the longer light days and say yes to invitation.

It can be very easy to keep going, even when a part of us is quietly asking for space, leaving us feeling a bit stretched.

Creating pockets of space to slow all the way down is essential, spaces to land where there really is nothing to do other than tend to ourselves and receive nourishment.

This is exactly why I’ve created Summer Sanctuary.

A small, intimate day retreat on Sunday 21st June, a space to step out of the usual pace of life and into something more grounded, nourishing, and supportive.

Move & Meditate is a culmination of all that have I learned (so far!) & practiced over the years of being with the variety of things that can crop up when we attempt to access a meditative state.

We begin with simple, body-led movement to help release restlessness and bring your attention into sensation and breath. From there, we transition into guided meditation and a period of rest.

No pressure to empty your mind or get anything right.

No experience needed, just come as you are.
