Personal Alzheimer’s Post 🤍

This month means a little more to me than most. 🤍

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, and Alzheimer's and dementia are subjects incredibly close to my heart because my dad suffered with them.

Watching someone you love live with dementia changes you.

There are difficult days, heartbreaking days and moments you wish you could hold onto forever.

But it also taught me something I will never forget.

Presence matters.

Sitting together matters.

Holding a hand matters.

A familiar song matters.

Love matters – even when words and memories begin to disappear.

So this month, I'm thinking of every person living with dementia and every family, friend and carer walking alongside them.

I see you. 🤍

The seasons are changing… and perhaps you are too. 🍂✨

The Autumn Equinox arrives on 23rd September, marking that beautiful turning point as we move into autumn.

Nature begins to slow down.

Leaves begin to fall.

The days become shorter.

And there’s something rather beautiful in the reminder that we don’t have to stay the same either.

This season, ask yourself:

🍂 What am I ready to let go of?
🌿 What do I want more of?
✨ What would bring me back into balance?

You don't need to have it all figured out.

Sometimes a new season is simply an invitation to begin again. 🤍

We are extremely excited to announce something very special that will be happening at our Autumn Wellbeing fair.

Sound therapist Alex Redworth will be joining us for the whole day offering 20 minute sound journeys for only £5 per person.

Al is extremely passionate about sound and its healing abilities and will be happy to answer questions, show you his instruments and possibly even allow you to have a little play yourself!

Throughout the day on the hour Al will be holding space and making sound!

This is a great opportunity to experience sound therapy and ask any questions you may have! We can’t wait for you all to join us on Saturday 12th September!

🌿✨ TAKE 20 MINUTES FOR YOURSELF WITH AYA SANCTUARY ✨🌿

In amongst browsing the stalls, why not take a little 20-minute break to chill, relax and switch off?

Alex from Aya Sanctuary will be bringing a collection of beautiful and unusual instruments, including Tibetan singing bowls, ocean drum, rain stick, flutes, drums and chimes. 🌊🔔🥁

There’ll be different sound experiences throughout the day, so you can choose your favourite — or come back and try another!

🌊 Ocean & Rain – gentle flowing sounds
🔔 Singing Bowls – calming tones and vibrations
🌿 Rainforest Rhythms & Jam – an interactive session where you can join in with simple rhythms and percussion
✨ The Full Journey – a little bit of everything

💷 £5 per 20-minute session
🧘 Mats provided, or bring your own.

No experience needed. Just come along, get comfortable and give yourself 20 minutes to chill in the middle of the day.

This might not be the most aesthetically pleasing image of incense but it’s not about that…. Frankincense and amber paste simply warming together and releasing their beautiful fragrance and properties.

Frankincense has long been used to purify and cleanse sacred space, amber paste brings a compassionate warmth and uplifting energy… the combination of these two together is literally, ground + protect + uplift and the smell is like a sacred temple 🛕
