A little about me.

I’m Laura, founder of Stillness & Sound.

I offer sound baths using gongs and other carefully chosen instruments through group sessions, private 1:1s and events, creating space for rest, relaxation and quiet connection.

The first time I experienced the gong, it had such a profound impact on me that I knew instantly I wanted to dedicate myself to learning and sharing this work.

I found sound during a time of deep personal loss, after losing my beloved only child. It became something that supported me through that period, and ultimately changed my life.

Having experienced the power of sound in such a personal way, I feel deeply called to share it with others so I trained as a gong practitioner with the College of Sound Healing, completing a 12 month in-depth, in-person course.

I’m often told my sessions feel powerful and transformative, which is something I hold with care and intention.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of hosting a gong bath on International Women’s Day at Gloucester.
It was a wonderful evening bringing women together for something we often overlook in busy lives - rest.
Using gongs, the session created an immersive sound experience designed to calm, release and allow participants to fully switch off for a while.
International Women’s Day is often about celebrating achievement and progress, this gathering was also about recognising the value of pause, reflection and restoration.
Thank you to everyone who joined and helped create such a supportive atmosphere. I’m looking forward to hosting more events like this in the future 🖤

Last night under candlelight I led a gong bath for a wonderful group of ladies at Women’s Wellness Group for their November theme of self care.

It is such a privilege to witness people drop in to stillness (far more quickly than they expect) and see the transformative power of sound and deep relaxation when people are simply given permission to rest. The sound does all the work and our bodies instinctively know how to respond - shoulders drop, breathing slows, tension releases and thoughts instantly quieten.
