Pencoed Castle.
A lovely castle built on a site dating back to medieval times, it still retains many medieval features, which is why it was recently visited by 20th Century Fox to film an episode of The Bastard Executioner, currently airing in the states.




SPI had the privilege of investigating recently and caught many things, including doors slams, footsteps and bangs. As of yet they remain unexplained and we look forward to reviewing the data.

Please note: the castle is not open for private events, as it is a private residence on private property.

Pencoed Castle is a ruined Tudor mansion, largely dating from the 16th century, in the parish of Llanmartin, now within the city of Newport, south Wales
