April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

Bowel screening can save lives by finding bowel cancer early. At least nine out of 10 people will survive bowel cancer if it is picked up and treated early. Taking part in bowel screening is something you can do to look after your health.

If you are aged 50 to 74, live in Wales and are registered at a doctor’s surgery, you will automatically receive a free NHS bowel screening test kit in the post every two years. The test looks for hidden blood in your poo. This could be a sign of bowel cancer or other changes.

Our wellbeing event is tomorrow at Glynneath Town Hall!

Join us between 10am and 3pm where we will have:

👉 Information and advice stalls on health and wellbeing
👉 Find out about the cluster services available to you
👉 Discover more about local social groups in your area
