Getting started with the NHS app

Come along to a free event to help you use the NHS app. The NHS app is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smart phone or tablet. At the session you will be guided through the process and by the end, you will be able to:

• Download the app and register / login.
• Book and manage appointments.
• View your medical records.
• Find test results.

Using the app, you can also:

• Order repeat prescriptions.
• View your NHS number.

You don’t need to know anything about apps, just bring your smart mobile phone or tablet to one of the sessions and the friendly digital team will help. Refreshments will also be available.
The NHS app support and advice sessions are at Oxted Library, 12 Gresham Road, Oxted RH8 0BQ, on:

• Thursday 7 December 2023, 10am-12pm.
• Thursday 11 January 2024, 10am-12pm.

These free sessions are being hosted by South Tandridge Primary Care Network and East Surrey College, working in partnership with Oxted Health Centre.

Please take note of the short notice from the new operators of the pharmacy in Godstone:

30th of June, the much anticipated takeover day is here !
As we are having a new system installed, lots of deliveries as well as our staff being trained on the new systems, we anticipate a few teething problems.
Please bear with us on this day and the weekend and only come in for only very urgent prescriptions.
Our opening times remain the same: Monday to Friday:- 9-6pm
Saturday:- 9-1 pm.
We are all very excited for the future and looking forward to providing the community with high quality services.

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well. I have been sent this information about a Live Longer Better event, promoting ideas and best practise on getting older people moving much earlier and more to prevent ill health. Further details and to book your place see below.

Live Longer Better

Physical Inactivity is the 4th leading cause of ill health and people are living longer needing social care.

We are excited to be promoting our first Live Longer Better event on 4th July in Walton, aimed at providing professionals best practice and ideas on getting older people moving more and earlier, so they can stay independent for longer.

The event is aimed at those commissioning activities for older people, running community provision where older people meet (housing associations, libraries, community centres, church halls etc) and those looking for funding. Bookings are being taken so please book now and promote the event to colleagues.

This event is for professionals and volunteers involved in the delivery of activities for older people including leisure providers, community centres, exercise professionals and voluntary groups.

A message today from the new operators of Lloys Pharmacy in Godstone - this is great news for the village:

As most of you will know by now, Lloyds Pharmacy, Godstone is being taken over by a family run independent Pharmacy on 30/06/23
This will be an overnight change so we intend to make the change over as hitch free as possible.
To better serve you, we need your input!

We invite the community to share your needs, preferences, and suggestions as your feedback will guide us in providing exceptional care tailored to your requirements as much as possible.

GODSTONE POND TAIL SURGERY AND THE PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP INVITE YOU TO THE FIRST HEALTH CHAMPIONS MEETING

Pond Tail Surgery and the Patient Participation Group (PPG) are pleased to announce the launch of the Health Champions programme. This is an opportunity to bring the local community together through group activities which are developed and steered by volunteers within the community. Please register your interest in this program for more information or to volunteer by contacting the Surgery reception. There will be a face to face meeting on Thursday, 8th June at 7.30pm in the White Hart Barn to explore this further.
