MY EVENTS are fragrance free 😌
When I request that no fragrances are are worn in my events , I rely on your kind consideration when you visit , as facilitating a gathering to my fullest capacity is number 1 priority for you all .. and this has been very ‘successful’ over my 3 yrs of holding space .
I have had a good number of people saying they came knowing there was no fragrance request , and that they were relieved that no one smelled as it was off putting/ made their chest tighten/ given them bad head/ made them feel sick.
Fragrance is fast becoming the new smoke as statics show more and more people are reacting ( directly or indirectly) to toxic chemicals found in perfumes/ aftershaves, body products etc.
I myself have chemical sensitivity and chronic migraine.
These have made themselves more prominent and I have struggled SO much over the years, with a plethora of peri menopause symptoms making my everyday social life difficult for me for around 9 yrs.
I cannot detoxify the nasty chemicals in everyday fragranced products , causing my neurological and physiological reactions as my system is overloaded .
This Sounds ridiculous to some people, but going to everyday places like toilets, shops , shows, friends celebrations and social events have been very limited and I have turned down many invites. I don’t really attend anyone else’s offerings for the risk of being ill.
If you see me out it will have been a calculated ‘exposure risk’.
On the odd occasion I will/have to go out, I often end up having to leave early as I’ve had the all too recognisable pain and breathing issues as my migraine attack begins.
Relying on medication has been a staple for me my whole adult life due to hormone imbalance , but is worsened by fragrance exposures.
I suffer Headaches, migraines, dizziness, brain fog, coughing, nasal congestion, aches, joint pain, and stiffness. Nausea, bloating, gas, and diarrhea.
Chest pain, heart palpitations. Intense fatigue, lethargy, or a feeling of sudden weakness.
Identifying that there are others with similar neurological and respiratory difficulties, every one of my ‘events’ , I provide a safer air space for everyone’s comfort by requesting that no perfumes/ aftershaves are worn. (Deodorant is often ok due to it being under the arm pit😌)
I do not burn oils or fragrances .

My continued appreciation for your consideration for you all 🙏
