Sad news to share , beautiful Chutney who was with us for 6 years providing Equine therapy has joined the heavenly herd, he reached a good age of 30+.
Chutney had returned to his former owner Nisha who gave him the best retirement years at home with them.
He will be greatly missed ❤️

Poppy was formerly one of Pam's Ponies Wirral ponies who Horse Sense Wirral stepped in to rehome following our physio recommending her be retired at the young age of 12.
We at Hooves For Healing have been greatful to them over the years for giving her a wonderful retirement which enabled us to take on a further pony to be ridden by clients and continue support in the community.
If you are able to make a small donation to Horse Sense Wirral at this sad time ,we would be most thankful. Pam ❤️ 🦄

REALLY SAD NEWS TODAY

Today we lay one of our long term residents to rest after a short battle with illness, blood tests showed that the beautiful Poppy more than likely had Lymphoma.

On receiving the results yesterday the plan was to let her live out her days with her friends and medical support as she was so bright, but this morning, as bright as she still was, she took a rapid turn for the worse strength wise and could barely hold herself up and we knew we only had one decision to make.

She passed in her new home, peacefully with her friends, still happy.

Poppy touched many lives in her years and came to us 10 years ago, to stop the circle of being that good pony that gets passed around, thanks to Pams Pony Parties now Hooves for Healing, as the team physio there said she needed to retire and Pam and the gang wanted to make sure it was her safest option, with limited space they couldnt keep her as well as replace her for their clients, or they absolutely would have. They have continued to be great support to us and Poppy over the last 10 years and we will very much still keep our relationship for many years to come even though our beautiful Poppy is no longer with us 💔

We hate to talk money at these times, but we just arent getting any in at the moment to even cover the basics, so these unexpected turns of events, really do add more financial pressure, approx £350 all in, if you can find it in your hearts and pockets to make a little contribution, it would go a long, long way to helping. Thank you so much.

Hi everyone, although we at Hooves For Healing are no longer providing a therapy service to the community Pam, Lou, Sandra, Sam and Trish still look after Toby, Dallas, Duncan and Ellie
They are all doing well, keeping themselves in the shade in this hot weather.
We do miss seeing everyone, and hope you are keeping well.

We visited Higher Farm Education centre yesterday, if you are looking for an alternative education provider and you live Cheshire way then this place is truly one not to miss.
Former staff and volunteers of Hooves For Healing booked a carriage driving lesson, what a fabulous experience for us , thanks to Chris .

Willow pony has joined Murphy at Mud & Magic CIC
This little mare has been simply the best over the years, big thanks Kerry-Ann Rutter. Willow can now reside with her buddy at Goldstraw Farm receiving the attention she has well earned.
We can't thank Willow enough for her service to Hooves For Healing and also to Pam's Ponies Wirral for the pleasure she has brought to so many individuals, truly 1 in a million ❤️

BIG NEWS!!!

We have found ourselves a new home!!!!!!

Just 30 minutes into the beautiful Welsh countryside, with incredible views.

We are very excited for our fresh start but there is so much to do, to leave Lodge Farm as we found it, as well as the move itself and jobs needing doing that end, its a very daunting task ahead, so we will post these jobs and ways to help over the coming days as we call on our whole family of supporters to help pretty please. The plastic, lidded storage boxes are very much a good start please.

We will need approximately £15,000 to wind up here and prepare our new location for the animals to make the move as easy as possible for our residents. Every penny counts and will cover the cost of something needed.🙏

PLEASE SHARE - Peak Cluster are holding four “in-person” sessions for Wirral residents at the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton on Monday 20th April 2026.

The Peak Cluster Team will give a presentation and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. This is a free ticketed event.
The four sessions are at 11.30, 14.00, 16.30 and 19.00. The sessions last about 90 minutes.

THERE WILL BE A PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION OUTSIDE THE FLORAL PAVILION starting at 17.30pm (for a 6pm protest ) going on until after the 3rd session has finished. We had a fantastic turn out outside Wallasey Town Hall in March and it had such a great impact. So its important that as many people as possible join us again outside the Floral Pavilion on the 20th April. Please bring you friends and family, bring your signs and banners.
