Back home in the Cotswolds and delighted to be reunited with my own garden - so much has changed in only a week!

A day of gardening tomorrow and then I am looking forward to welcoming students on a two day workshop on the Ayurvedic treatment of children. It’s worth mentioning here that we still have a couple of spaces for last minute bookings if you are available, the link to the courses and workshops page of the website is in my bio ⬆️

We’ve been working with beautiful flowers and highly scented herbs, learning how to capture their healing essence in a variety of ways, including these soothing salves.

Having the time to be able to start by walking through the gardens and selecting our herbs, then preparing them and finally bottling them up is such a huge privilege. We now have the essence of the healing herbs at Borgo Santo Pietro in each jar of salve!

A little glimpse of what it’s like to stay here surrounded by beauty at every turn.

These photos just don’t do it justice, but hopefully you can feel a little of how special it is here.

What a wonderful week in the garden!

We started with a fabulous group of garden volunteers who worked through the rain on Monday, then two days of the first workshop for a this year’s How to be a Home Herbalist course using the herb garden as our classroom, and now gorgeous weather forecast for the Bank holiday 🌞

Hopefully you have also had an opportunity to get outside and enjoy nature this week. Wishing you a great weekend A x

My favourite flower is the rose and I am so happy that all the signs are that we are going to have a blockbuster year for them!

There are buds everywhere on every type of rose from shrubs to climbers. I can’t wait until the garden is filled with their fragrance - and we can make more delicious rose glycerite, dry rose petals for tea and distill rose water. Simply heavenly!!!
