Something to look out for when searching for a tattooist.
* HYGIENE * crazy that I'm even saying it. But I've seen multiple posts just in the past few days of dirty, ink splattered, unwrapped beds and arms rests.. phones, dirty sharpies and ink bottles ontop of their work stations, artists wearing bracelets and watches just resting over their clients tattoo, charger cables hanging over equipment.
This is just a few examples of cross contamination.. no artist should be touching anything other that what is wrapped on their station with used gloves, not their phone, headphones, ipads, lights, drawers, drinks etc.
Artists should also be cleaning down with the correct techniques to keep themselves and you safe from diseases and infection.
Your tattooer 'should' know all this but unfortunately, we're seeing it more and more due to lack of education and training. We've all made mistakes along the way and just have to keep learning, but do your research, ask for RELIABLE recommendations, search through social media, visit studios. Keep yourselves safe 🖤
