Meet Miss Kate Gill, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital.

We're delighted to introduce Miss Gill, a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, helping patients overcome joint pain, restore mobility and return to the activities they enjoy.

Miss Gill specialises in:

Mr Tim Worthington is a Consultant General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon based in Guildford, with specialist expertise in gallstone disease, hernia surgery and hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) surgery, including conditions affecting the liver, pancreas and biliary system.

A highly experienced laparoscopic surgeon, Mr Worthington serves as a Laparoscopic Tutor at the University of Surrey's Minimal Access Therapy and Training Unit (MATTU) and is recognised for his expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques. He also leads the development of minimally invasive surgery for pancreatic and liver disease at the Royal Surrey.

Mr Rob Walker is a Consultant Robotic and Laparoscopic Oesophagogastric and General Surgeon, specialising in the treatment of conditions affecting the oesophagus and stomach. He provides comprehensive care for both benign and malignant upper gastrointestinal conditions, combining advanced surgical techniques with a patient-centred approach.

Mr Walker has completed advanced fellowship training in oesophagogastric surgery and holds a PhD in Cancer Science, with research focused on improving outcomes for patients undergoing surgery for oesophageal and gastric disease. As part of our General Surgery Focus Fortnight, we're introducing the specialists helping patients access expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of colorectal and general surgical conditions.

Mr John Stebbing is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust and Clinical Director of the Surrey Bowel Cancer Screening Centre. Having qualified with Distinction in Surgery in 1987, he has dedicated much of his career to advancing bowel cancer screening, endoscopy quality and colorectal care.

Mr Stebbing has held several national leadership positions, including Chair of the Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy, the organisation responsible for accrediting endoscopy services across the UK, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the NHS England Clinical Professional Advisory Committee for Bowel Cancer Screening.

Mr Pritam Singh is a Consultant Oesophago-Gastric Surgeon at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust and Joint Upper Gastrointestinal Clinical Lead for the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance. He specialises in the assessment and treatment of both benign and malignant disorders of the oesophagus and stomach, alongside a broad general surgical practice.

Following medical training at the Universities of Cambridge and London, Mr Singh completed specialist training in Oesophago-Gastric Surgery and undertook a fellowship at the renowned Trent Oesophago-Gastric Unit in Nottingham. He also completed a PhD at Imperial College London and remains actively involved in research, education and national surgical training.

Mr Andrea Scala is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust with specialist expertise in laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery, bowel cancer treatment and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Since joining the Royal Surrey in 2014, he has become a recognised specialist in minimally invasive techniques for both benign and malignant colorectal conditions.

Following surgical training in London and an Advanced Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery Fellowship, Mr Scala completed a Doctorate of Research in Surgical Sciences and Advanced Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies. He is also the Clinical Director of Endoscopy and Lead for the Colorectal Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) at the Royal Surrey.

Professor Timothy Rockall is a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust and Professor of Surgery at the University of Surrey. Internationally recognised for his expertise in minimally invasive surgery, he has been at the forefront of advancing laparoscopic, robotic and colorectal surgery for more than two decades.

Professor Rockall is the immediate Past President of the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ALSGBI) and directs the Minimal Access Therapy Unit (MATTU) in Guildford, a nationally recognised centre for surgical training, innovation and research.
