People often mistake emotional availability for affection, chemistry, or attention.
But emotional availability is about emotional presence.
Can someone stay engaged when feelings, needs, disappointment, or vulnerability arise?
That’s where emotional availability becomes visible.
It’s less about what someone says when things are easy, and more about how they show up when things are not.
