πŸŒŠπŸ’œ THE WEEKENDERS WENT A LITTLE BIT WILD FOR SEAWEED! 🌿 πŸ™Œ

What a brilliant Sunday we had at The Weekenders, our Sunday Social yesterday⭐️

We were delighted to welcome the lovely Claire from Nature Creations who opened our eyes to the wonderful world of… SEAWEED! 🌊🌿

And who knew?! 🀯

Seaweed isn’t just something you find floating around your feet at the beach…

It can be found in:

🦷 Toothpaste
🍦 Ice cream
πŸ’Š Gaviscon
🩹 Medical skin dressings

We also discovered how the moon helps control the tides πŸŒ™πŸŒŠ and learnt a little more about the amazing things happening beneath our feet when we’re wandering along the coast.

Then it was time to get creative! 🎨🌿

We gathered, arranged and pressed seaweed into fabulous shapes, patterns and designs, creating our very own seaweed artwork. πŸ–ΌοΈπŸŒŠβœ¨

And now…

WE WAIT! ⏰

Our prints need around a month to fully develop πŸ—“οΈ

We cannot wait to see what appears and, of course, we’ll be sharing the finished results with you! πŸ’œπŸŒŠ

Did you know our dementia care day service is open on Saturdays and Bank Holidays until 16:00 πŸ•“

Because dementia, memory problems, MS, Parkinson’s, ageing, frailty, and care needs don’t pause at 4pm on a Friday or take weekends off.

While many tier 1 and tier 2 services close, we remain open: providing continuity, reassurance, and specialist support when it’s needed most.
