Meet the Therapist… Weasel 🐾

Possibly one of our most popular team members…

Weasel is a 7-year-old Chihuahua, Jack Russell and Yorkshire Terrier mix who helps Hannah deliver CBT, EMDR and counselling sessions here at the Hub.

Hannah rescued Weasel over 6 years ago and quickly realised she had a very special gift for comforting people - often sensing when someone is having a hard time and wandering over for a cuddle and a lick. ❤️

Fast forward to 2026 and Weasel is now a regular part of sessions with both adults and teenagers, helping support clients experiencing anxiety, PTSD, low self-esteem and depression. She’s also brilliant at helping build confidence and social skills for those with neurodiversity.

Outside of work, Weasel enjoys Dartmoor walks, horse rides, lunch dates and curling up on the sofa for a good film. 🐾

Honestly… we think she deserves employee of the month!

Join us every Wednesday evening at Calstock Therapy Hub for a gentle, welcoming meditation group led by Kate Kensa. Whether you're completely new to meditation or have practised before, this is a relaxed space with no pressure, no expectations, and no need to "get it right."

Meet John,

As a counsellor and psychotherapist, John's main aim is to accept you as you are, to understand you from your own point of view and to enter into a therapeutic alliance with you that is real and genuine.

His experience is that when this happens, his clients begin to recover, feel better about themselves, and make constructive changes in their lives.

He has a special interest in working with trauma and dealing with potential barriers to counselling and why men are reluctant to seek therapy.
