This might be one of the clearest portrayals of trauma I’ve seen on screen.

Because trauma isn’t always obvious.

It doesn’t always look like panic attacks, flashbacks, or falling apart in public.

Sometimes it looks like being highly capable on the outside while feeling unsafe on the inside.

Sometimes it looks like overthinking, emotional shutdown, people-pleasing, anger, perfectionism, poor sleep, or constantly waiting for something to go wrong.

And often, the person experiencing it has spent years telling themselves they “should be over it by now”.

But trauma isn’t a weakness. It’s the nervous system trying to protect you based on what it has learned.

Support can help you begin to feel calmer, safer, and more in control — without having to stay stuck in survival mode.

Friends are amazing.
