✨ 🦋20 Years of The Butterfly Room 🦋✨
Twenty years ago, in 2006, The Butterfly Room was born in Herstmonceaux. It started just the two of us-Beccie & Beth, with a dream, a lot of determination and no idea where the journey would take us.
Just a few weeks later, our wonderful Ruth joined us, and together we laid the foundations for what has become so much more than just a salon.
Twenty years later, we can honestly say it’s been one incredible journey.
We’ve laughed, cried, celebrated successes, overcome challenges including navigating covid and grown not only as business owners but as people. Along the way we’ve also grown our families, welcoming Beau, Bibi and Pelè into our lives, somehow juggling motherhood alongside building the business we love.
After five successful years in Herstmonceaux, we made one of the biggest decisions of our lives—to invest in our own property and move The Butterfly Room to Hailsham. It was a huge leap of faith and, at the time, a very daunting one. Looking back now, it was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Over the years, we’ve poured our hearts, time and savings into creating more than just a salon. We’ve created opportunities, careers and friendships. We’ve been proud to provide employment, support aspiring entrepreneurs and invest in our local community, something that has always meant so much to us. Working alongside other local businesses and supporting one another is at the heart of everything we do.
To every single member of our team, past and present, thank you. Every one of you has left your mark on The Butterfly Rooms and helped shape the business we are so proud of today.
A very special thank you goes to our lovely Little Bec, who has been by our side for almost the entire journey. Watching you grow into such an important part of our management team has been a privilege, and we’re so grateful for your loyalty, dedication and friendship.
And finally, to our amazing clients…
Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for trusting us with your hair, your beauty treatments, your wedding mornings, your special occasions and, so often, your lives. Thank you for every appointment, every recommendation, every kind word and every year you’ve stayed with us. Many of you have become more like friends than clients, and we are truly grateful for every one of you.
When we look back at where we started, we could never have imagined what The Butterfly Rooms would become. We are incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved together, and we know none of it would have been possible without the amazing people who have been part of our story.
So here’s to 20 years of memories, friendships, laughter and hard work.
