As our very first Leith Food Festival comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend so special.

Launching a brand-new event is always a leap of faith, but the welcome we received from the Leith community was incredible. From the moment the gates opened, it was amazing to see so many people enjoying the food, music, entertainment and atmosphere that we worked so hard to create!

To everyone who bought a ticket, supported our traders, watched the live music, attended a chef demo, took part in an activity or simply came along to spend time with family and friends in the park - thank you!

A huge thank you also goes to our fantastic traders, chefs, musicians, performers, volunteers, crew and partners. Events like this simply wouldn't happen without your hard work, talent and enthusiasm.

We're also incredibly proud that together we raised £4,359.90 for SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) and a further £5,992 which will go directly towards the upkeep and maintenance of Leith Links. Supporting local communities has always been at the heart of what we do, and these contributions will make a genuine difference. 💙

This may have been our first year in Leith, but it certainly won't be our last. We've loved every minute of it and we're already excited about what next year could bring.

If you missed out this weekend, don't worry - we're heading to Queen's Park, Glasgow on 6th & 7th June, and we'd love to see you there 👀

As for Leith... thank you for making us feel so welcome. We can't wait to do it all again next year 💛

This popped up tonight whilst searching for a sleep meditation, a beautiful soul, family friend who had the voice of an angel, expressing how she feels through her music and songs.

Sadly she took her own life a few years ago and made me think.

Every 40 seconds someone loses there life to su***de.

Time's are hard for many behind the scenes with not much support and help or understanding out there, for those who are in a dark, desperate place.

Asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness, reach out and let someone who can help you carry the weight.

Check in on those you know are struggling or going through a hard time, lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on, never think that person is okay.

People who are struggling often mask their pain, and it is crucial never to assume they are okay just because they put on a brave face or say they are fine.

If you or someone you know is going through a tough time, it is incredibly important to reach out and get the right support. Below are a few highly trusted resources and organizations that provide free, confidential help and
