Good Morning!

It’s Monday again and I’m ready for the week ahead. 🤗

I had a few days in Scotland over the weekend seeing friends which was fantastic! There’s nothing quite like some Scottish air and a bit of banter!

I’ve got a busy week ahead with treatments, volunteering at St Helena Hospice, seeing family and meeting my fellow Sunset Boulevard cast members. I’m so excited to get started on my first ever show with colchesteroperatic 🤗

Happy Friday!

I hope you’ve all had a great week!!

I started my new part time role at St Helena Hospice this week. As many of you know, I’ve been a complimentary therapy volunteer there for the last 7 years which I love and will continue to do.

I will still be doing my reflexology three days a week (now Mon, Wed, Fri) and will be my office job the other two days. I’m so happy to be joining the Estates and Safety team there as I feel very passionate about the work they do at the hospice.

I’ve had a lovely week seeing my clients and starting my new job! Happy days 😊

Good morning all! Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? I did a 26 mile trek in Northumberland at the weekend with my friend Alexis who I grew up next door to. We did it for Alzheimer’s as sadly her Mum now has it. It was a beautiful route but I won’t lie….the last few miles seemed to go on forever!!!

I stopped off to see my friend Lisa who is the person who encouraged me to enrol on a reflexology course and helped me find the Reflexology Academy where I studied.

Yesterday I drove back and was very much walking like a penguin when I stopped at the service station…but today I feel much better and only a couple of wee blisters to deal with!

I’m looking forward to seeing all those feet this week 🤗

Good morning! Looks like we have some sunshine coming again! 😊

I just thought I’d talk you through my day yesterday as I love the variety in my job.

Firstly it was my morning volunteering at St Helen Hospice and I treated two lovely people who are bereaved and need some TLC.

Then on to an elderly man who has a 30 minute treatment. I’ve been doing his feet for a few years now and really enjoy my visits.

Then it was on to Studio 2 where i use a treatment room to see one of my regular clients. It was lovely to have the stable door open in the room yesterday…and not the heater on like last week!

Then off for another home visit in the evening where I set up my lafuma chair and allow my client to enjoy her treatment in
the comfort of her own home..with her lovely wee dog always nearby.

I’m looking forward to seeing today’s clients….just need to get my cat off my lap.

I provide treatments in and around the Halstead and Sudbury area and also in Studio 2, Castle Hedingham.

Are you living with Lymphoedema, or do you know someone who is?

Lymphoedema is a long-term (chronic) condition that causes swelling in the body's tissues. It can affect any part of the body, but usually develops in the arms or legs and develops when the lymphatic system doesn’t work properly. I love the welcome I get from Coco when I go to my clients house to do reflexology for her and her lovely Mum.

Coco is waiting and literally laps the living room and waits patiently for the chair to recline so that she can get in there!

I’m really glad to be volunteering this

Being part of this community means a lot to me. It’s given me a sense of purpose, connection and the chance to support people facing incurable illness and bereavement when they need it most.

I volunteer in the complementary therapy team at St Helena Hospice and it’s amazing to know that even a small amount of time can make a real difference to people.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, I’d really encourage you to give it a try. There are lots of opportunities and you can find out more on the hospice website.

Good morning! It’s another beautiful day 🤗

I had lots of lovely clients last week, some in their own homes which they all kept lovely and cool and some at Studio 2 in Castle Hedingham where the treatment room was lovely and cool. There is a stable door in the treatment room which I open when it’s warm and you can hear the birds singing away!

I have a few appointments still available for June. I cover Halstead/Sudbury and surrounding areas or you can come and have a treatment at Studio2 Castle Hedingham.
