Choosing an aesthetics practitioner should go far beyond what you see on social media.

Emma’s advice? Begin with their qualifications. Choosing a doctor, dentist or nurse means placing your care in the hands of a regulated medical professional, someone who is accountable to a governing body and committed to maintaining professional standards.

Social media can, of course, offer a valuable introduction to a clinic. But it should never replace proper research, a thorough consultation or confidence in the person carrying out your treatment.

You may not see Emma following every trend or appearing on your feed each day. Much of her time—and that of the wider Sapphire team—is spent exactly where it should be: with patients.

A new face to welcome you to Sapphire 🤍

Meet Vicky ✨

Vicky recently joined the Sapphire Medical Aesthetics team as a Patient Coordinator and is already enjoying being part of such a warm, welcoming team. With over 13 years of experience in professional client-facing roles, she’s passionate about creating a friendly and personal experience, ensuring every patient feels comfortable, cared for and in good hands.

Whether you speak to Vicky when you call the clinic, meet her at reception when you arrive, or she’s helping to organise the little details around your appointment, she’s here to make your experience with us feel as seamless and looked after as possible.

Alongside Sapphire, Vicky’s main career is as a Mortgage & Protection Advisor, where she supports clients through some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

Outside of work, she has a real love for travel and discovering new places. She’s recently returned from an amazing four months travelling with her now fiancé, so she’s always looking forward to the next adventure!

As you know patient care at Sapphire starts long before you enter the treatment room and having the right people there to welcome, support and take care of you is such an important part of that.

Ageing is about much more than the lines we see on the surface.

Over time, changes take place throughout the face. We gradually lose collagen, the distribution and volume of our facial fat changes, and the deeper structures that once provided support begin to alter too.

The result can be a loss of facial volume, new hollows and shadows, softer contours and skin that no longer feels quite as firm or supported as it once did.

This is why simply treating individual lines doesn’t always address what is actually creating them.

When volume loss is one of the main concerns we identify during consultation, two treatments we may recommend are dermal fillers and Sculptra — but they work in very different ways.

Dermal filler can be placed strategically to directly restore lost volume and support in carefully selected areas. The aim isn’t to add unnecessary fullness, but to restore balance where changes have occurred.

Sculptra takes a more gradual approach. Rather than simply replacing volume, it works by stimulating your own collagen production, helping to progressively improve facial support, firmness and overall skin quality.

For some patients, one approach will be more appropriate. For others, a carefully considered combination of treatments may give the most natural result.

Because good facial rejuvenation isn’t about chasing every line or trying to recreate a younger face.

It’s about understanding how your face has changed, and creating a treatment plan that restores just enough support, balance and skin quality for you to look refreshed, while still looking entirely like you.

Sometimes our patients come to us with an exact treatment in mind, and sometimes that’s the right route, but often once we sit down and really look, there may be a better approach ✨

It’s completely normal to zero in on one feature when something feels “off” often because it’s the thing we look at most in the mirror. But the face doesn’t work in isolated parts. A change in skin quality, a loss of volume elsewhere, or simply the balance between features can all show up as “my lips look thin” or “I look tired,” even when the lips themselves aren’t the cause.

This is exactly why every treatment plan at Sapphire starts with a proper look at the full face, not just the area a patient asks about. It means the plan we suggest is based on what will actually make the biggest difference, not just what was booked in.

Sometimes that will be lip filler. Sometimes it’s skin quality, sometimes it’s balance elsewhere entirely — and sometimes it’s very little at all. Either way, you’ll leave the consultation with an honest answer, not just an injection.

If you’ve been into the clinic recently, chances are Lucy was one of the first people you saw… and chances are you noticed her beautiful eyelashes! ✨

These are all Lucy’s own lashes, no extensions. Lucy uses Obagi Nu-Cil, consistently on her lashes.
