When it comes to dermal fillers, understanding facial artery anatomy is key! 🔑

Your face is home to a delicate web of arteries, like the Facial, Angular, traveling close to common injection sites.

Improper technique or depth can lead to intravascular injection, causing complications such as tissue necrosis, vascular occlusion, or vision loss due to filler entering the arterial system and reaching the ophthalmic artery. 😳

Safe injection practices include using aspiration techniques, blunt-tip cannulas, and knowledge of safe zones and danger zones. Some clinicians even use ultrasound guidance to visualise vessel paths in real time.
