Super Proud Consultant ❤️ Amazing words below from our lovely Kelly
In early summer 2025, I decided it was time to lose some weight—and, more importantly, keep it off. Friends and family told me I didn’t need to lose weight and that I couldn’t have much to lose, but the reality was that I’d tipped over 14 stone. At nearly 6ft tall, I carry my weight well, so I can easily gain a stone without it being very noticeable. Despite that, I didn’t feel healthy. Although I’ve exercised 5–6 days a week for as long as I can remember, what I was putting into my mouth was completely undermining all the hard work I was doing in training.
I set 1st September as my start date—it fell on a Monday, which felt perfect. Throughout August, I drew on what I already knew about Slimming World, mainly from friends, and managed to lose 6–7 lbs before I’d even signed up.
On 1st September, I joined Emma’s 5.30pm class and signed up for the 12‑week countdown, weighing in at 13 st 9½ lbs. My initial target was 12 st 7 lbs. I was 100% focused and lost 5 lbs in my first week—always great to get a “whoosh” early on. From there, I carried on steadily, amazed by how much food I was eating while still losing 1–2 lbs a week.
My goal was to reach target before Christmas, and I smashed it—hitting 12 st 7 lbs on 10th November, just 10 weeks into the programme. At that point, I decided to lower my target to my Club 10 goal of 12 st 4½ lbs, which I reached four weeks later, just in time for the Christmas festivities.
Along the way, I achieved my Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Body Magic awards.
Since reaching target, I’ve been maintaining—a phase I actually find harder than losing weight. With 3 lbs leeway either side of target, my weight naturally fluctuates by 2–3 lbs, but I generally sit a couple of pounds under, which is where I feel most comfortable.
Overall, this programme has been an enjoyable and empowering journey. If you commit 100%, the results will come. Keep moving, stay focused, and keep optimising ❤️
