I help horsey humans show up for their horses in the best possible way.
So often, when something feels off with our horses, we look outside of ourselves for the answer. We search for the next fix, the next tool, the next thing to change. I’ve been there. I’ve done it.
I believe that so much of what we are looking for begins within us.
If we are not present in ourselves, in our bodies, aware of our nervous system, it becomes much harder to hear the whispers of what our horses are trying to tell us. The body has so much to say, and so do they. But if we do not have the capacity to truly listen, we can miss so much.
Our nervous systems play such a key role in this. How we are feeling, consciously and unconsciously, affects how we show up, how we respond, and the space we create for our horses to feel and respond too.
Norman has been such a great teacher for me. He shows me so much about myself, and he reminds me how deeply I want to show up for him in the best way I can whenever we spend time together. When I am not present and truly with him then he certainly lets me know! Tanking off is just one of the way he gets my attention and that could easily be labelled as ‘naughty’ but he is so good at noticing the moment you are elsewhere, he finds those opportunities every time! 🤪
This Friday I’m offering a 1 hour equestrian yoga session at Millie McBride Dressage, Studham on Friday 1st May, 12.30–1.30pm. We’ll explore movement, breathwork and meditation to help you become more present, grounded and connected.
No experience is necessary. A warm welcome awaits you.
It looks very promising that the sun will be joining us! Love Kat ♥️
