Broomy Hill came together on Wednesday for our Staff Awards, and what a day it was. Residents, staff and families gathered to celebrate the people who make this home what it is, marking long-service milestones from 3 years right through to an incredible 15 🎉😊

Congratulations to our winners: Ewa J P (Core Values), Elina N (Employee of the Year), Magdalena W (Wellbeing) and Regan B (Dementia Awareness). This year also saw the launch of a brand new award, Above and Beyond, chosen by residents themselves. Eniolamide A was the very first to receive it.

The Broomy team went a step further, creating their own award to recognise Home Manager Julie for everything she does. Gemma presented it, and it was a genuinely heartfelt moment for the whole home.

We were also pleased to welcome Alicia Potter from Herefordshire Mind, our Charity of the Year, who shared more about their work before we presented them with a donation. We're looking forward to continuing that partnership.

To the Broomy Hill team: thank you for your dedication, care and heart; it shows in everything you do.

We're delighted to welcome Steve Morton to Moorhouse Care Home as our new Home Manager!

Steve brings over 30 years' leadership experience across hospitality and health and social care, including senior roles in residential, nursing and dementia care. He is a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and registered Dementia Care Mapper, with a real passion for helping residents maintain strength, confidence and independence.

Steve is looking forward to getting to know our residents, families and team as he settles into his new role.

We're so pleased to have Steve as part of the Ashberry Healthcare team and look forward to working with him 😊

On Friday 21st August, Holmer Court Care Home came together for a sponsored walk in support of The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Our goal was 100 laps of the garden and £250 in donations. Our residents completed an amazing 135 laps, with families, friends and staff joining them to add another 350 laps. We’ve also raised an incredible £593 for the Charity.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated or helped make the day so special. We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part 🏅☺️

We had a wonderful time at our Summer Fayre at Allt Y Mynyddd on Saturday!
We enjoyed some lovely live music from our wonderful new singer and had plenty of fun throughout the afternoon. Jess even took a turn in the stocks, while our teddy George was won by a very lucky baby! ❤️

We're delighted to share that Broomy Hill Nursing Home has been named a finalist for the Hereford Times Community Awards in the Mental Health Award category - for the second year running!

This award recognises individuals or teams who specialise in mental health care, helping to improve the lives of residents and their families.

Being selected as a finalist again is a fantastic reflection of the consistent dedication, compassion and hard work our team brings every single day. From meaningful conversations to tailored support, they go above and beyond to ensure our residents' mental wellbeing is always a priority.

A huge congratulations and thank you to every member of our team - this recognition is thoroughly deserved, once again. You truly make Broomy Hill a special place.

We are deeply honoured to share these heartfelt words from the family of one of our residents at Allt Y Mynydd Nursing Home.

Although their mum was only with us for a short time, we are so grateful to hear that our team's kindness, compassion and dedication made an incredibly difficult time that little bit easier. From reassuring words in her final days, to being by her side through the night, to the small gestures that meant the world, our staff went above and beyond to ensure she was treated with dignity, comfort and care.

We were especially touched to hear how our team supported not just their mum, but the whole family too, from checking in, to bringing a sandwich when it was needed most, to a handwritten note and a moment to rest.

At Ashberry Healthcare, we are committed to providing care that comforts, reassures and never leaves anyone feeling alone, for our residents and their families alike.

We are sincerely grateful for this feedback and for the trust placed in our team. It is a privilege to provide care that will be remembered ❤️

Yesterday at Brockworth House we celebrated our Staff Awards, and what a lovely day it was! Residents, staff, friends and family came together to celebrate everything that makes Ashberry Healthcare special: loyalty, integrity and compassion, with long-service achievements ranging from 3 to an incredible 25+ years 🏆🎉

Congratulations to our award winners: Ifeanyi U (Core Values), Wamila U (Employee of the Year), Wendy W (Wellbeing), Jessica L (Dementia Awareness), and Jessica W and Shania W, who received our brand new Above and Beyond (Resident-Nominated) Award.

We were also delighted to welcome the ladies from Sue Ryder, our chosen Charity of the Year. They shared the incredible work the charity does, and we were honoured to present them with a donation, and can't wait to continue supporting them.

Thank you, Brockworth team. Your hard work and care make this home what it is, and it doesn't go unnoticed 😊

This Tuesday we celebrated our Staff Awards at Engelberg, and what a day it was! This year we did things differently, welcoming families and residents to join the celebrations too, and it made the day even more special 🏆🎉

The awards recognised the loyalty, integrity and compassion our team shows every day, including long service achievements from 3 all the way up to an incredible 10 years!

We also celebrated Core Values, Employee of the Year, Wellbeing and Dementia Awareness, plus a new award this year: the Above and Beyond Resident Nominated Award, chosen by our residents themselves.

Big congratulations to our winners: Juliet B took home the Core Values Award, Jaspreet K was named Employee of the Year, Barkha B won the Wellbeing Award, Tara T received the Dementia Awareness Award, and Myfanwy T was our very first Resident Award winner.

Thank you for everything you do; you're what makes Engelberg feel like home.

Meadowview brought their BBQ-themed dining experience indoors today!🍗 The delicious lunch was followed by a relaxing afternoon with help from Lisa's holistic wellbeing session and the day was finished off with a game of Family Fortunes. 💆🏻‍♀️🔮
